We ordered the set menu for 2 with fries. The meal was a decent size and our order was taken by a lovely woman. After everything arrived, we still had not received the fries so we had to ask them again. When the bill came, we were charged for two fries and had to tell them to remove one. Once we had finished our food, we waited a long time for the baklava that is part of the set menu. None of the serves came over to see if we were ok whilst sitting there at an empty table. We had to call someone over. Considering there were only 3/4 other tables to wait on, I think this was not acceptable service. The food tasted very nice. [Date of meal - 12/4/24]
Very nice food. Platters for 1 are perfect in size and give a variety of different dishes within one! So worth it! Service is a bit slow in terms of front of house and bringing the bill and drinks. But the food itself doesn't take very long. Overall highly recommend. Come for the food. Come for the solidarity. Will definitely return!
The chicken Maqlooba was great - chicken tender and the rice well flavoured. I also think the shwarma is amazing. I wouldn't order the labne again but that might be because I compare it to all the labneh I had in Lebanon!
We got the meal deal for £58 couldn't eat it all. Definitely worth a visit. The coke isn't real I'd rather they call it something else as tasted weird, or also have Pepsi available. Friendly place. provided, this caused us to leave a very large tip as this hadn't been clear. Can't fault the food or staffing, we had to take the meal home as so much ? my partner knew which restaurant it was but as there are massive palasrinian flags over the entrance I didn't actually realise it was this restaurant when trying to find it on Google maps, as looked like a take away. Maybe there is a way of having the flags up but still letting people see it is a restaurant could be helpful.
Money well spent. I've been wanting to try this place for about a year now and finally got to go here with my brother. I ordered a mix grill and it was delicious. The meat was tender and juicy. I enjoyed every bite of it.
3.5 Went here for iftar with a few friends. The staff was friendly and nice. The portion of the food was large and generous. We were given bread for appetiser which were kind of disappointing and thin but they were free flow. The main courses were ok, nothing really worth noting. Whilst the rice (especially the Palestinian rice) was delicious, the meat was a little dry for my taste. Overall, the food is enjoyable.
Good, not great, food. Service could be more prompt and attentive.
Grill chicken wings perfectly grilled taste to perfection. Herb Chips full flavour crunchy very tasty. First time tried chicken Maqluba traditional Palestinian dish well cooked perfectly spice similar to biryani presented in unique style I have enjoyed definitely recommend people to try chicken Maqluba.
