Had my first meal at Delbar last night. Between the food and service, I couldn't have been happier. Alek's attention to detail, food knowledge and passion for history showed while he explained the dishes to me. I had a little bit of everything and took a bunch home. The portions were large and I left full and happy. My favorite dishes of the ones I had were the Lamb Ribs, Omani Shrimp,, Hummus, Muhamara, Adas Polo and Chinjeh Kabob. This was by far the best Middle Eastern restaurant I have ever eaten at and I will definitely be going back.
The Delbar is always a treat! There's not enough words to describe the food! All of the flavors, the freshness of the food, the presentation, and everything always tastes phenomenal! Let us not forget about the vibe and ambiance! It's definitely become one of our favorite date night spots!
A friend and I are visiting Atlanta this week, and were super interested in trying out Delbar. From the moment we stepped in the building, it was clear that we were about to have a great time. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is perfect for a nice night out. Our server, Juan, took perfect care of us and helped make the night amazing. At his recommendation, we tried the smoked bass and the Labneh, and both were very much enjoyed. We also had the lamb neck, and it is the most tender lamb that I have ever had. If I return to Atlanta, I will DEFINITELY be back!
This was one of the best meals I’ve ever had ! The menu was curated beautifully and everything paired so well with each other. The chilean sea bass and red pepper spread with the walnuts were phenomenal and I could not stop raving about how wonderful everything tasted. Most of all, our server Yafe made the experience absolutely perfect. His suggestions and explanations of everything were spot on and his hospitality was 10/10. We will for sure be back to Delbar!
Not sure where to start… But holly…. everything was amazing, from the service, to the food, to the drinks… Freaking tasty, and freaking amazing. Glad that the waitress welcomes you, and asks you if is the first time here so they can explain and recommends you a dish. I’m sure it’s a must go, I’m fascinated with everything and everyone here. The portions are huge and they don’t go easy on the food they serve. You can taste all the flavor and of all the seasonings they add to it. The drinks are great, super tasty, amazing, and I don’t have more words to explain it. If you are around this area you should and must come and give it a try, I am sure you won’t regret about coming.
The food was good, and my server was great. However, when I arrived at the restaurant for my reservation, I was waiting to be seated. I noticed that my husband and I were the only African Americans waiting to be seated. All the others there before me and those that came after were seated before us. The host asked us to follow her, and she attempted to sit us at the table closest to the host station. I asked her if we could be seated somewhere else. She had an attitude, said something, and walked off. My husband and I were still standing at the table. They continued to sit customers, so we walked back to the front. None of the others were taken to the area that she attempted to sit us in. Eventually, we were taken to a table. I watched them walk everyone who wasn't African American to every area except the table where she wanted to place us. Finally, two black women came in and were taken to that table.
Visited here based on all the positive reviews. The ambiance and outdoor seating are both excellent. The food, however, was a tad under the quality I expected based on all the positive reviews. Drinks were definitely delish and creative. Lamb neck was super tender and simply melts in your mouth. Sabzi Polo was cooked properly and had all the right flavors. The lamb kabob and the shrimp appetizers, however, were both overcooked and not as tasty as they looked.
This has consistently been one of my favorite restaurants for the past 5 years- taste and service is never missed. Today was my first time visiting for brunch and it was a great experience. The cappuccino, sashuska, and French toast was perfect! Alongside some of my dinner favorites (sabzi polo and koobideh). Can’t wait to be back! My only wish is for them to bring back the red zough. It was my favorite!
