A halal sign is clearly visible on the premises.. From the management: 'Our food is freshly prepared daily, halal zabiha'
Our food is freshly prepared, halal, and with a large selection of vegetarian and vegan options. At the heart of our restaurant, is the legacy of the legendary Saleh family chef Hussein “Baba” Saleh, who passed down his love for cooking to his brother Ahmed Saleh, our head chef.

I went out for a casual dinner with my fiance to this neighborhood restaurant and we loved it. We didn't know what to expect as we had never tried Egyptian food before but the food was fantastic and full of flavour. The restaurant was crowded but the staff was really nice and attentive. We ordered the lentil soup, the spicy eggplant appetizer and koshary. Highly recommend this restaurant.
As an Egyptian, I can promise you, this is the real deal. Food tastes just like my mom’s food without making her do all the cooking and cleaning. When I need a taste of home, I run right down here! Worth every penny. You’ll want to lick your plate clean!!
We got there a little before closing time The staff was very friendly and helpful They helped us with the order, explaining everything clearly The food was delicious. Their lemon mint juice was very refreshing The Koshary with the dressing was excellent We also had the Macaronna Bechamel. It was quite good too The seating was a little tight
Staff is extremely polite - great hospitality. The food was delicious. Our server recommended us some items from the menu which we liked a lot. The feeling of dining here is no less than a feast.
Amazing food everything tasted really good fresh healthy, nice for dinner Staff was super friendly and helpful We will be back again next time when Chicago area!
Delicious Egyptian dishes in a cozy space with warm hospitality. The spicy fried eggplant was refreshing, well-spiced, and bursting with flavor. The Molokhia was rich, garlicky, and savory, perfectly complemented by tender roasted chicken and flavorful rice.
I’m from Dubai and this is the most authentic shawarma I’ve had in Chicago. The fries are also some of the best I’ve ever had (ask for the garlic sauce). This is my go to spot for both dine in and delivery. The restaurant is pretty ambient so it’s perfect for a date or just lunch with friends/colleagues. The serving size is pretty good too. Overall 9.5/10 experience. Must try!
Absolutely amazing food! The service was phenomenal and we got our food in perfect time. Not too fast and definitely not too late. The shawarma and the chicken kebob were our favorites but everything was delicious. Oh yeah, the garlic sauce was out of this world and presentation of how it came out was somehow even better. Can’t wait to come back.
