I ordered in person and dined in, and when my order of chicken biryani was announced ready to pick up, I was shocked by the size of this dish. The plate was heaped over. Even better was the fact there were chunks of chicken throughout the dish. The large portion size for the price point is an excellent value. The interior is nice, clean, and minimalistic. There is plenty of seating for dining in, but it's also conveniently located for takeout, as there is plenty of street parking.
I am a big fan of the authentic Indian restaurants and Pakwan is a well known chain in the bay area. This is one of the restaurants of that chain with a nicer ambience and service. Food is very good.
Great spot for a small group with booths for 4-6 people and also tables for 2. Order at the counter and get a number. The goat curry was really good and even came with bone marrow in our dish. Lamb biryani was large and leftovers lasted another couple days. Appreciate the naan and whole wheat roti option. Saag dal had large buttery lentils. Great casual spot.
The restaurant is very vibrant and colorful! Loved the vibe and the staff were extremely nice. We had CTM wrap, goat biryani, chicken biryani and malai boti. The portion size was very good. Malai boti was outstanding and so delicious! Biryanis were hit too, flavourful and well cooked. But, CTM wrap was a miss. Not much flavour, somewhat bland. Otherwise, it was a good experience. Will go back for malai boti..
Pakwan on Ocean Blv. I believe they are a sister Restaurant of the one located on the Tenderloin and also the one on 16 street. Food was good, I service, you order your food and pickup the food when ready, you help yourself to the silverware and water. The place needs some good cleaning. The location is across form Beeps Burgers and next to Whole Foods on Ocean Blv. I had the Chicken Anchar with regular Naam and a Milk tea, all the food was fresh with just the richest savory heat on the sauce. The place offers rice plates for lunch.
Although there’s three locations in the city, this is my favorite one. The food is always great, especially with consistency. I dined in so my little brother could experience his food fresh and he enjoyed it. Garlic naan, and the curry chicken great combo
A gem of a place in this part of the city. Lofi Pakistani music, portraits of relevant people and near-amazing food. You need to have cucumber salad with Biryani and mint raita. But that’s for the connoisseurs. Otherwise, the staff is friendly and the service is quick. And the portion sizes: those are mammoth.
Get in, save a table, order from the counter, wait till order is called, pick up food and grab any drinks you got from the fridge along with napkins and utensils and dig in!!! Really simple service but the food is packed with spice and flavor. The naan bread is worth the price, lamb biryanis is amazing and the chicken tika masala is super tasty. Don’t forget to try a mango lasi. Great bang for your buck here.
