GoogleThis was the first place that got me to appreciate what quality steak could be almost 10 years ago. I’d heard that Tiberius was head chef here too - no surprises there. Suffice it to say that expectations were high given the experience I’d had and the glowing reviews I’d heard from others. For our starters we had the prawns with sourdough and the bone marrow. These were absolutely delicious. The sourdough paired beautifully with the prawns - packed full of flavour. I love bone marrow so it was no surprise that I enjoyed the fresh bread and caper salad that paired with it. Whatever vinaigrette they used for the salad was brilliant. Coming to the mains we decided to opt for the Tomahawk. This is difficult to get right and the best I’ve had is from Tiberius himself at the iconic Burnt Smokehouse. This wasn’t quite on par but still very good. The crust was beautiful with the medium rare bordering more on the rare side if you ask me although admittedly it’s difficult to get the consistency across the entire steak due to the sheer size of the cut. Other than that the flavours were on point. Honourable shout out to the fries as they are absolutely brilliant, soft, thin cut but with a crispy bite to it. Overall I was thoroughly impressed by both the quality of food and the service. A lovely night out. Would come again.
