My first time trying this restaurant and I was genuinely blown away. The food was just delicious. The smoky flavour on the meats was perfect, but the short rib… that deserves its own paragraph. It was a masterpiece! The meat was so tender, buttery, and melt‑in‑the‑mouth that it almost didn’t feel real. Every bite fell apart effortlessly, rich with deep smoky flavour and that slow‑cooked juiciness you only get when a chef truly knows their craft. It honestly redefined what I thought great meat could taste like. The atmosphere is warm, relaxed, and welcoming. Every member of staff was polite, friendly, and professional, which made the whole experience feel even more special. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I’ll be recommending this place to everyone I know. Amazing food 😋
Southgate had the need of something different and the dream come true wow wow What I can say is on of the best meat I eat from very long time, the steak the ribs and the smoked meat was out of the world Staff was amazing service was brilliant I will start now to explore the menu Guys if you are meat lovers definitely recommend and make sure you going hungry
Really wanted this place to be good, the anticipation of opening was high. A smokehouse in southgate great idea and concept. Made me think of the many American smokehouses I have visited in the US. Reality was that the food was poor, and service was excellent. Got the wings spicy garlic, was expecting smoking hot and dripping with flavour but no was barely warm and taste wise it had a strange pasty taste which wasn't pleasant. The rib eye and t-bone were poor, cooked well and looked picture perfect, that said the meat was bland and extemely taste less, and did lack the perceived high quality the premises promises and menu promised. Unfortunately I may have caught them on a bad day, but I won't be returning anytime soon. The £84 for 2 people with no alcohol, was totally unjustified and not right, but the service was very good and attentive, but we were there for the food.
As a local guide, I visited recently and ordered 3 mains and 2 sides. Overall, the experience was okay, but there are a few areas that could be improved. The Dallas steak was unfortunately quite tasteless, and there was no salt or pepper available on the table to adjust the seasoning. The burnt ends were very enjoyable and full of flavour. The burger was decent, but again lacked proper seasoning and sauces. The cabbage side dish was very plain and seemed to have little to no seasoning. It also appeared that the same cabbage was used inside the burger, which made both elements feel repetitive. In terms of service, the staff were very friendly and polite. However, we had to ask three different members of staff for tap water, and it took around 10 minutes before it was finally brought to the table. With some improvements in seasoning, attention to detail, and service efficiency, this place has good potential.
Perfect for meat lovers - Got the loaded burger and sent me into a meat induced food coma 10/10 multi-layered with a beef patty, smoked sausage and a soft and tender brisket 🤤🤤 Chips and nice and crispy yum yum, The meat tasted AMAZING and you can really tell that it is made freshhhhg Also sick atmosphere
