Freshly made food.
The service was excellent and the waiters were very nice. Food was light and delicious, but slightly on the expensive side. Fish tikka was awesome.
This place was pretty mediocre. Just had a chicken tikka wrap, and it tasted pretty weird. Don't recommend.
A bit dark and dingy dining area, but maybe it is because the restaurant primarily caters to take out and home delivery business which seems to be doing well. Parking in the area is a hasle. It is an indian restaurant. I did not like the food as it was way too spicy for my Pakistani taste buds. Especially, do not try their goat curry.
I've only had food delivered, never been to the actual restaurant. But the food is great and so are the prices.
I think the owner has recently learn about the cooking. Lacks taste little bit.
Alhamra the best Pakistani/Indian Restaurant in San Francisco. With 5-Star Service. "Try it, You will love it
Second that for Alhamra - good alternative to Pakwan Mission when the yuppies are lined up out their door and driving you crazy. Cheaper food, cheaper digs. Same parking hassles though. Walk to BART at 16th/Mission to avoid parking. What more could ya ask for?
"Alhamra is a newer Pakistani restaurant that is trying to break into the Mission district of San Francisco, currently dominated by Pakwan. The staff is very friendly and the food is very good, although their naan needs some improving. The atmosphere in the restaurant is a bit dull, but in the end it's the good cheap food that's the main reason for going there - they also deliver in the area, which is an added bonus."
This place was right next door to our Airbnb. We came home via uber and saw the place was packed with lots of people! We figured it must be good so we tried it! They bring you utensils and a knife and fork however you have to get your own water and menu. To order just go up to the counter and they'll bring it to your table. When coming in just seat yourself to whatever free table is available. We got the onion naanx2 rice mango lassi and fish korma(?). Omg the naan is amazing. And the korma was also very delicious. I'd say that 1 naan, riceand 1 dish of korma was enough for 2 people. My god we struggled to finish the lassi rice and other naan. It was so good. I've grown up with so much Indian food and was shocked that this was better than most I've had! Definitely worth it to check out. Ambience is not to die for but the food is good. Total of our bill was 28. I'd go there again!
Awesome gravy and smooth paneer pieces. I really liked the shahi paneer Tikka masala. Must try. Only 4 star because the garlic bread was not good enough. The garlic should be topped with ghee or butter, it was dry. And the price was crazy high. I ordered one curry and one garlic naan on GrubHub and the total was $33 !! Prices r supposed to be lesser fr delivery since there is no service involved.
This restaurant food is much more better than other Pakistani Indian restaurants all around the US. Chicken biryani & seekh kabob was so delicious authentic Pakistani flavor specially the Tea which is so so so good like Pakistani famous Pathan’s tea and we never had an experience before this in US. The best thing is they make in front of us so the quality of the food is so fresh and yummy like your own kitchen.
this is a sweet symphony of flavors and smells that cuts through the typical scent of tenderloin. from the fluffiest naan to the piping hot curries that will take your palette on a joyride. i came here for the first time two years ago (my Airbnb is right above it) and had to try the lamb vindaloo it made me cry, worth it. this time around, i ventured out to a veggie korma. it was steaming hot and the rice held it ever so gently. it’s my fave spot in town! i seriously cannot get enough of this place.
I’ve been coming to this amazing Indian food restaurant fir over 12 years and it’s still amazingly good. I’m super traditional when I order here it’s always chicken tikka masala, rice, veggies semosas, and garlic naan you can not go wrong with this. In the past I’ve had the Tandoori dishes and they are also amazing. Dinner time can be busy so plan a head. I always order take out but you can dine in and bring your alcohol if you like that. The staff is super friendly.
This was the best curry I have ever had, the spicy chicken curry and the original roti was so awesome, they also provide a milk tea, I didn’t add any sugar in there because it’s a little bit sweet for itself, I believe you guys will love it. The employee are very friendly even he was busy all the time, and I’m just alone but i still got a whole table for a comfortable delicious meal. The price is a very reasonable price, I don’t know how to cook a meal but I know how to eat( I think this is the foremost skill?) Will definitely visit again if I come back to San Francisco again! Highly recommend ???
