Good taste of food

I have yet to find a quality South Asian restaraunt in Manhattan. On a cold December day nothing would be better that a nice warm curry to stave off that frost. This is not that place. If microwaved heated food is your thing then then the kebabs and tikka will be right up your street. Sorry I don't understand the 5 stars given by previous reviewers but this may be due to us being spoilt in the UK with the range and quality of food on offer. Catch up NY!

Food is ok. Great place if your in a hurry

The best Indian food in town! I go once a week and always leave satisfied. Everything is good from their dishes, to drinks, to appetizers! This place gets a LONG line if you go late for lunch.

Joy is my favorite place to eat South Asian food in the city. Haven't been to this location yet but went to their prior location farther downtown for a while. The service is great and the food is very good. The staff here are excellent.

This place reminded me of what south asian food's supposed to taste like. Went with the chicken korma and lamb vindaloo. Amazing. Only thing I wasn't totally pleased with was the rasmslai. It was ok. Overall, though, great place. Ppl were friendly.

I absolutely love the food and staff there. Those who feel the service isn't up to par should take the time to get to know the people and perhaps tip!

Great food, big portions, great service and affordable. This was one of my main places for lunch when I was in NYC and became a big hit with colleagues who I introduced Joy to!

The food here is excellent. I've had various things here like the biryani, the saag, kebabs, hara masala and they were all incredibly delicious. The food here is among the best I've eaten in an Indian restaurant.

One of the best halal restaurants in Manhattan. the staff are really friendly the food quality is excellent and you are made to feel at home there. Highly recommended.

Delicious, inexpensive and friendly. The place is clean and in a good neighborhood where halal food is scarce.

My wife and I went there by mistake but what a good mistake it was. The food was great and very affordable. I loved going there and will be going there again, InsyaALLAH.

Good halal restaurant with a variety of Indian and Pakistani dishes on the menu. Casual ambience and adequate seating make it an ideal place to eat with friends and family.

One of the nice Halal resturants. Owned and operated by Indian Muslims. Nice food, very good ambiance.

This is authentic Indian style food. The food is so amazing. And I love the fact that it's in a little nook that everybody can't get to. It feels like a little gem. It has seating inside and the give free water, tap. Of course. Nice and pleasant. You have the option of ordering out or to stay. I really enjoyed eating here. The palak paneer, Chicken curry, goat curry and fish curry are amazing. This is a great vegetarian location. The rice is good. The naan is good and the mango lassi is amazing !

Great place to get a quick Desi bite if you are around grand central in New York City. The place is not very upscale. However the food is good and the naan is mmuah…. If you are a non Vegetarian you have a lot of options. There is decent veggie items as well. Over all my go to Desi place near work. The I have tried fancy Indian joints. Similar to chipotle. This place has a pure Desi vibe. Go there and you will see what I mean.
