This place is a cab stand, don\'t expect more, the food is good, not great, I picked up mutton as well as chicken biryani, loved it, if you want to eat in go across the street, the food is slightly better, having said that, I would recommend this place for carry out.
very poor meat quality in their dishes.
I've been there once and the guy doesn't know English AT ALL. food there is just acceptable.
Not sure if both place are the same, but i went to Hyderabad house family dining, there are two locations across the street from each other. I was visiting from Toronto and being my mom was from Hyd i was craving some local food for a while now which we dont have in Toronto. And i must say this place delivered on that front. As soon as the food came out it smelled authentic, it was spicy but felt good as it had the kick that i had once tasted a while back vacationing in Hyd. Staff could deff use some Customer service lessons and keep the place cleaner, but purely from a taste perspective this place delivered
This place serves your typical Hyderabadi fare. Was tasty, overall. The place could use a quick clean and a quick refresher on customer service, however, if you're not too picky you will probably enjoy it. They were open late on a Friday night. Not the best Hyderabadi food on Devon, but certainly a good option. I wanted to try the authentic hyderabadi Nehari, but the waiter said they only serve that on the weekend. maybe next time. I recommend.
I am hyderabad, reminds me of the times of the nizzam. Most beautifully food in all of America. 5 star super!
We went to their new family resturant right across from the orignal one. Not being a Hydro food expert, I am not sure that if all the food is supposed to taste like it has pickle/achar in it, because thats how everything tasted. I'll give this place just an average because I have no bench mark to judge hyrdo food on, this was my first face off with Nizami cuisine. The place have a weired smell too, but may be thats was the "new resturant smell".
If you're not a cab driver don't bother visiting. I was there once and was waiting for an order and violent argument broke out between waiter and one customer, though no punches were thrown. The food is OK if you want to order carry out, but first you better get their attention and make sure they don't forget about you. The place caters to cab drivers, not families.
Food was Raw. I like my Toronto, better food there. Plus the owner's sister is my mom's cousin and they trashed our house in toronto just like they trashed this restaurant. Bad Food.
if you are going without a family and u really like to eat good food 24/7 this is the place to go. I go to this place regularly mostly late nights and eat till i am really full. Good food and really cheap. If you are alone and really hungry and its so late that whole devon is closed this is THE PLACE to go. I always pray for the owners for providing such good food 24/7
THEY DONT SERVE FRESH DISHES MOSTLY...we thought it would be good hyderabadi food, but were extremely dissapointed.we went there 3 times and all those times the food was not fresh.being from hyderabad we KNOW GOOD HYDERABADI FOOD.THEY JUST HAVE A NAME.
Superb hyderabadi food at extremely low prices. New menu everyday, with classical hyderabadi Nahari on weekends.
I've always wanted to try the Hyderabad House restaurant on Devon Street because so many people recommended it to me. I finally got the chance, and it was absolutely amazing! The place is really nice, with options to eat in, and it's super clean. The food tastes incredible—spicy and just like what you'd find in India. We ordered chicken biryani, butter naans with curry, and it was all fantastic! The only letdown was the desserts, which didn't seem fresh. The prices are a little high, but the food is definitely worth it. Interestingly, there are two Hyderabad House spots on Devon Street—one offers both dine-in and takeout, and the other is just for takeout, and they're right across the street from each other. If you're on Devon Street, you really should check out this restaurant!

Taste of food is sometimes very good & sometimes ok (in this visit Taste was very nice but same items when ordered in my previous visit was ok ok), serving wast little slow may bcz there was only one guy handling all tables

We ordered haleem and 2 biryanis to go. Food was not as good as we expected. The taste and quality of the food needs to be improved. The ambience wasn't great as well.
Bought mutton biryani to go, taste was below average, looked like white rice mixed with some gravy, salty and just had 2 big bones with absolutely no meat on it. Will not try again. The tea was good that’s about it.
Food was ok . Cant say it tasted amazing .crispy corn is chewy &potlam biryani taste was not so great compared to what we ate before.malaikofta &naan s were good .
I have went to this place few years ago, they were serving an amazing biryani. Recently, I went twice, few months ago it was a bad experience. I thought it might be busy that day and the food was not as they usually do. Today, I went expecting to be the same original food they usually serve, the food was nasty, Biryani was made with uncooked meat, or basically bones with some flavor meats on it. The place looks not clean, staff are unprofessional. Overall, my biryani was only rice with sauce.
Loved the food here. Ordered mutton biryani and Haleem. Both were great. I'd highly recommend this place for Hyderabad food if you are in and around Chicago. Had paan and that was great too.
Except food & taste, we never got like it in the USA. Paratha, roti, Kari pakora, double sweet dish , apricot sweet dish, chicken fried, chicken masala, chicken biryani and tea all are awesome. Prices are economical not like heavy prices of Bundoo Khan that doesn’t have taste.
Had the best Hyderabad goat biryani in years. Brought back all the flavors from Hyd! Highly recommend this spot for their biryani, haleem, and more. Chai was okay, but the food is a must try!
This place is definitely not for the ambience but the food. Looks like it has been started around 25 yrs back and they are carrying out the legacy. Its on the devon street which is mini india, a street with different indian food options, clothing, groceries what not..! Coming to the restaurent, the food was good especially the rice, dal and chicken was yum. We tried chicken biryani and mutton biryani’s too. The seating is very very basic. Service was good and friendly. They even allowed us to park the car at their place as parking was paid in the entire street. Definitely try when you are in chicago. This was my first time to chicago and we went twice within 4 days..
