Yes i agree verbal assurances are given that its Halal, but unfortunately they have an Morrocan or Algerian chef in the sandwich side who seems to drink alot and enjoys his clubbing, now as i live in aberdeen and you see this sort of thing happening it makes you think twice if what there cooking for us is really halal if these are the kinds of chefs they have? I have also made this point aware to the bosses, spoke to Mr Ahmed and expressed my concern. To be honest seems Halal but the Morrocan or Algerian chef is a very big dissapointment, that really made me think 10 times before i walked out. Restaurant also serves Alcohol.

I am sorry but I disagree, best Asian restaurant in Scotland it's definetley not. I have sampled better dishes in Glasgow and also it is not in the same league with 90 % of the restaurants south of the border . It caters well for Bangladeshi food but not for the whole spectrum, it's too westernised and not very desi. Too pricy for what you get and I also couldn't get confirmation from staff or management that it was 100 % halal.

The restaurant is ran by a Bangladeshi family. It's the best Asian restaurant in Scotland. The naan bread is simply tasty and can be eaten on its own. The dishes are made with fresh ingredients, and really well presented. The waiters are friendly and polite.

GoogleProbably the best curry I have had in a while. The restaurant was buzzing as it was 23rd Dec. No reservation made and they accommodated me with a table for one. Complimentary poppadom with onions, lime pickle & chutney on arrival. Service was swift but not in your face. I had a lamb lajawab with garlic pilau which was absolutely fabulous. Reasonably priced too. Will definitely be back.
