I was there yesterday and like everything about them. Today I read google review and what I found is (Copy & paste): Ziyad Tariq Local Guide"‰Â·"‰194 reviews"‰Â·"‰246 photos a month ago- Place is not using halal chicken. I have seen them using blue boxes of mountain chicken which are not halal. I didn't know that before untill I saw it my self on weekend in the morning time..

Do not ask for extra red sauce because it is extremely hot. But overall the but was good and taste. Maybe they can do better job cleaning the tables.

I thought the chicken gyro sandwich was pretty good, but the place was a madhouse when I went. I assume it isn't normally that packed (it was after ICNA), but it really detracted from the experience for me. It also took a really long time for the food to be ready.

The pizza was really good ate there last night.

The food was good. I had rice and kebab. The chicken orzo soup is very good, if a bit too salty. Ambiance and cleanliness could be slightly better.

In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful To be succinct, the food is great, the meat zabihah, the eating area clean, no alcohol is permitted in the premises, and ALL the brothers are God-fearing Muslims. May Allah reward them all for providing other Muslims with zabihah food.

Of course the best of the best. Outside of Mamoun's Falafel, Alladin offers the best Med Food in a quality atmosphere. Always recommended and high on the list. The italian quisine is not bad too.

One of my favorites in the US. Just amazing. Friendly people, great food, clean place. Everything was just perfect!

Finding parking near this place can be a problem at times. The food is fresh. I love their sauteed liver dishes.

BEAWARE! THIS PLACE IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST YES I REPEATE WORST PLACE EVER. THE SERVICE SUCKS, IT TOOK HOUR & HALF FOR A PIZZA AND WINGS! THE PIZZA WAS THE WORST EVER AND THE WINGS WERE NOT EVEN COOKED. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING HERE. I SPENT $40.00 ON NOTHING.

The first place we eat in CT. They are open till late and their food is exceptional. Their pizza, kabobs, wings, everything is very good, cooked fresh and the service is excellent as well. As a whole, the best place to eat if you are in downtown Hartford.

Excellent food! Pleasant staff. Nice clean place. I go all the way from Danbury to this place 1-2 times a month.

I have come to Hartford for 3 years for Islamic conventions. I was not impressed at all with this Restaurant. Alhamdulilah, the food was halal. But it was not good. IT WAS EXTREMLY OVERPRICED. and the portions if you order things like kabobs are ridiculous and not even worth the money. The chicken kabob was horrible. The gyros werent even done proper (being wrapped like a burrito in a tortilla) And they tasted REALLY BAD. I will say, the pizza was excellent - but overpriced. I have come to this place about 5 or 6 times throughout 3 years and it has never changed. The service is VERY POOR. you have to walk up to the register to order. Recently they got rid of the waiters. The bathrooms were pretty dirty. I have tried alot of things on the menu ranging from chicken wings, to kabobs, to humus, to gyros. And they all were poor. I payed nearly 80$ for a small meal for my family and it is something I really regret now. SubhanAllah, may Allah reward these brothers for providing halal food but may Allah guide them to make better food, give better service, have a cleaner bathroom and lower the ridiculous prices. It really hurt me when I had to go to the non-muslims to get a slice of pizza because they were cleaner, cheaper and better tasting.

Oh my gosh, this is the best middle eastern food i've eaten in the U.S.! The lamb and chicken are seasoned to perfection and is soft and juicy, hummos is perfect, tabbouleh is perfect, falafel softly crunchy and perfect, baklava melts in your mouth... I ate there for lunch today, and I can't wait to visit Hartford again to eat there again!

Good food, the cuisines are Arabic. I have confirmed with the owner that the food is Halal.

EXCELLENT FOOD! I don't live in Hartford, but whenever I drive through the city, I always make it a point to stop by Aladdin to have a pizza or a cheesesteak.

Excellent food and great price! Cover of menu states that all food is halal. The restaurant has somewhat sporadic hours of operation but its never open before 11am and always open for lunch (except Sundays, 2 - 9pm) as of 6/28/2005.

We went on a Saturday evening. It was not crowded. There was only one person, apparently, working both the front counter for ordering, and the kitchen. We both ordered the lamb kabob combo; the menu was limited that day to pizzas and just a few main dishes/combos, probably because they were understaffed. It was fine, but not wonderful. The lamb was good--tender and tasty. The baba ganouj was also quite good, but the hummus was bland and had too much oil. The place did not have much atmosphere, to be sure, and we had to ask the attendant to wipe off our dirty table, which he did, sort of. The main thing is that the food was OK and reasonably priced

The Shawarma Pizza! Yes! You read that right! They have a shawarma pizza and it’s delicious. I was in Hartford visiting a friend and traveled 40 minutes for this. The entire way here we kept asking each other. Is it worth it but before even taking the first bite just by looking at it, we know it was, and sure enough it exceeded all of our expectations.

Chicken shawarma and kebab on rice are our favorite. Baklava is perfect with a hint of lemon that balances the sweetness and always freshly made. While the dining area needs some upgrade, its less of a concern for me as i take out my order everytime.

We asked them to keep the pizza in for a little bit more since it didnt look fully cooked when they first gave it to us. Then we saw the pizza was literally burnt when we came home, unfortunately we didnt check the pizza for the second time as we trusted them with their service. I’m only asking why would you give your customer a burnt pizza on purpose? The edges were super crusty, burnt and dried out, NOT EDIBLE AT ALL. We had to cut them off. The dough is too thin and not enough cheese at all. As you can see in the photo there’s a HUGE crust like ??????? The worst pizza I’ve ever had, never buying from this place again. For dinner we had to order another pizza from another halal place.

Probably will just stick to ordering out for pizza because this neighborhood joint continues to disappoint me. Latest visit: Walked in and see the guy smoking hookah at the counter, planned on eating in but they prepped my food to go without asking me and they didn’t even include any utensils or napkins in the bag. Never coming here again. Not even out of desperation.

Overall, the food was pretty decent and a good halal spot especially for the price. We ordered the steak bomb sandwich, chicken shawarma over rice and the chicken shawarma wrap. The food took about 20 mins to be prepared and the people at the counter were nice. The steak bomb sandwich was very good but the chicken shawarma wrap had a strong lime taste. The chicken shawarma over rice could use a little more flavor and was a little dry.

Best chicken kebab wrap I ever had!!! I was visiting for few days , and I got food to go , and location just perfectly close to the train/bus station . Restaurant very clean and peaceful atmosphere . 100/10

One of the worst disgusting food I ever eat in my whole entire life. Food was terrible. Make me sick after i eat it and there is no customer service at this place the waitress was playing with her phone while asking her questions. The tables was super dirty. I will not go there again
