The only reason I am doing this review is that I want this restaurant to succeed. The owner is a very good man. I have given my review before and even told the owner about this but sadly, no change. The food quality changes depending on who prepares it. No consistency. The last time I ordered pizza and subs and they were terrible. The pizza dough was not crispy at all, even to the point of not fully cooked. So, the pizza dough became soft and soggy. The food was not spicy even though I asked for a spicy sub. I have eaten the same food before and sometimes it is nice and sometimes unedible. As I have said before, I want this place to succeed and so I will continue to patronize this place. Hopefully, the owner read this review and do something about it. Please do not take your customers for granted. You have a good standing in the community, so please try to improve.

I came back here today probably after 5 or 6 years. I could not remember what I ate the first time but I ordered the Mushroom Cheeseburger and really enjoyed it. The price was ridiculously cheap ($4.25 including fries). Service was fast and friendly.

Small sit down area, located in a strip mall. Pizza and subs are good and flavorful. I have heard from long term DMV friends that the quality of food has declined over the last several years, but I found the place above average.

Just an awesome place to take out. I had an incredible burger and fries for 4 bucks and I also got a chicken wrap which was mind-blowing. The owner gave us a free can soda too. Craving more ever since

Tastes good. We order for our outings gatherings or halaqas. Alhuda school gets their pizzas from there too. I haven't tried other items. Reasonably priced. Seating is not that great though

My family and I have been regulars at Roma for almost a decade now (or whenever they opened). This is the greatest restaurant of all time - bar none. The owner and all the workers are awesome people and I always love going in to Roma :) even my non-Muslim friends LOVE this place!

As a UMCP student, I've been here plenty of times. Food is cheap and good tasting; portions are plentiful; and variety is immense! I would get the Cheeseburger w/ fries for $3.75 or the Large 1-topping Pizza for $7.99 if I was budget-oriented. But the best thing there is the calzone for ~$10 and it's good for about 2 people. I don't think there will be a day when I will say "no" to Pizza Roma!

I hate giving bad reviews to Muslim businesses, but i feel like they take their zabihah only customers for granted. This place is really dirty. The tables were sticky, and the booster seats for the kids had turned black from the gunk. My 2 yr old actually refused to sit on the seat because it was dirty. We ordered a chicken pizza, salad w/ grilled chicken, and italian hot cut. The hot cut was very good, i'd probably get that for take out again. the grilled chicken on the salad was horrible. It was cold and hard and dry like a bone. When my husband went to tell one of the guys he said "our chicken is always like that. even if we make you another one it'll still be like that." ok brotha, if ur chicken is cooked like that maybe you should get out of the restaurant business, cuz i can make juicer chicken in my apartment's small kitchen without professional equipment. The older uncle was nice, he told the guy to switch it out for a chapli kabab if i wanted, we did end up switching it out. The kabab was better, but not a authentic chapli kabab. The pizza was good, but they'd overcooked the crust, it was actually a bit burnt. And i really think they used the same dried out chicken on the pizza, my kids actually couldn't even chew the chicken on the pizza. we had to take out the chicken and they just ate the cheese. I've been to another pizza place in the DC area, and i really like it better, its cleaner and the food is better. I dont think i'll be going back. My husband said he'll be getting take out for the hot italian, but defi not eating in .

The novelty of halal deli and pizza joint has worn off, but my wife won't eat there. We had to use the bathroom and to get there you have to walk thru the kitchen. She was disgusted by the apparent lack of cleanliness of kitchen and bathroom. Now that there is competition, we are less likely to go there. Look at the time-line of comments. 10 years ago it was FANTASTIC, now so-so.

Having lived near Pizza Roma for over a year, I feel like I can give a better review than I did in the past. The food at Pizza Roma can be very good, but it's not consistent, the dishes themselves vary in quality, but the variance also depends on who is working there. My issue with Pizza Roma is that I think their success has gone to their head. Rudeness is expected in Muslim businesses, unfortunately, but they take it to another level. Whether its putting you on hold for a long time on the phone or telling you food will be ready in x amount of minutes, but it really being ready in x+40 minutes, their service sucks, and I try my best not to eat there anymore. I have never left a Muslim business with so much anger as I have left Pizza Roma on multiple occasions. The kindness of some local Muslim competitors only makes this lacking aspect of Roma's business more glaring.

I have been going to PR regularly over the past five years. I really do not want to say anything negative about a halal place because we need these place for the muslim community. However, I still need the boss of PR to realise that their standard has gone a lot. Ths food don't taste the same as before. The taste also changes, depending on who is on duty for that day.I hope the Boss will take my review seriously and supervise his staff closely.

The lack of cleanliness is one of the major issues that I have. The grill looks like it has not been cleaned in a very long time, which may explain why there burgers are soo good, but still, to a person who is very hygenic, a big turn off. The best thing about this establishment is there burgers, chicken and cheesesteak subs, and there italian hot cut. Other then that, the pizza lacks, customer service is sub-par, needs to be renovated, and needs to be more specific on where they get their zabihah meat.

Looked up online for halal places in germantown and found pizza palace. I went to grab a pizza and got to know the owner and the crew. They treted me as family. I ordered x-large pizza w/ pineapples and jalapenos - must say it was delicious. The service was great. They make food fast and fresh. I am a big fan of pizza romo for their excellent food, great service, and lots of great choices. I must say pizza palace is just as good. Hands down one of the best places for halal food in MD!

Ok... I have been living in this area going on 12 years, and I have known this place since the early days. First of all, lets set the expectation: THIS IS A FAST FOOD JOINT. It is not a white tablecloth fancy dinner place. They specialize in subs, burgers, sandwiches, and of course pizza. The food is (and I have had over the years just about everything they make) is average to above average. But hey, you get decent halal food served very quickly (unless it is jam-packed crowded, which it sometimes can be). Not only that, they DELIVER. Not only that... they serve BREAKFAST. I mean breakfast as in pancakes, eggs, sausage etc etc all halal of course. Now, where can you find an all halal breakfast? The answer is not many places. So.. take it for what it is worth... a super friendly owner, good reasonably priced food to fill you up quick. As Muslims, we need places like that... and this is it. This place is our McD's, Pizza hut and Subway rolled into one. Not to mention, it has nice seating. Go and enjoy.

One word Overrated! I got friends and family that live in the dc area and they are always bragging about Pizza Romas...so i was like i must try this place out since its been raved about so much...so on a drive back from northern virginia my brother and i went out of our way to stop here...We went inside thinking we were going to get this really good food, but when we got our food we were really dissapointed...the cheesesteak did not compare in any way with cheesesteaks you can get in NJ...and the buffalo wings we got werent good...We were really dissapointed...Ive been to a lot better places in northern va and in dc...maybe it was overhyped and we went in there with high expectations, but definately had much better food in NJ!

OK, so this place is getting pretty high ratings, because I imagine the main reviewers are college students. And college students will love this place- its cheap and halal. However, if you are looking for anything more, be warned- the restaurant itself is a carry out type of joint with peeling paint and decrepid seating. I'm sure the pizza here is good, but I tried a sandwich and was disappointed. Overall not a good experience for me. But I'm sure if i was still in college, I'd be eating here everyday.

I lived in the area for four years and enjoyed Pizza Roma. I am really missing it. There are many memories I would never forget about eating there or getting food to home from Pizza Roma. The day I was leaving states we also ordered from them. I talked to the brother who delivered food and thanked him. I also said i wish you guys cared more about the cleanness of your place. The only reason I did not give them five star rating was their place not being so clean. You don't need to spend a lot in decoration or any thing just use a piece of cloth and some detergent and make place clean every day. Another point about their order processing and layout. They waste a lot of space and have not arranged their workflow efficiently. Their staffs have to walk a lot to prepare the food. They could free one or to of their staff by rearranging the place and use that extra guy to keep the place clean.

This is a classic area Muslim hangout and totally deserves to be. We have eaten here so much that sometimes we have to try to think of something else! But it's always good coming back - simple, delicious Italian and American fare. Where else can I get a pepperoni-jalapeno-pineapple pizza or a mushroom burger, and love every bite - AND know that I'm supporting a quality Muslim business with integrity and good service? Plus, you always run into someone you know there :)
