Little too pricey for the quality of food and seating.
The tandoori chicken is a ripoff! $8.95 for 1 small chicken leg and a piece of naan! Either lower the price and call it an appetizer or give 2 legs. The portions of the lamb sag looked better, but it was actually just a big bowl filled with spinach with a couple of lamb in it. The taste of the food was ok and the naan was excellent. But I would like to see the portions increase (I mean the meat, not the sauce.)
We went here today on our visit to Vancouver and are already wishing the restraunt was in Seattle instead so that we can go their again and again. We ordered the thali which comes with an assortment of their finest dishes and everything tasted great. We substituted the lamb curry with butter chicken. The chicken tikka was the best we have had so far on the North American continent. The portions were perfect for 2 people and the price was also very reasonable. The hostess was very friendly and helpful.
i scoped this location out...its very small, seating is limited but the food is ok..
Yummy! Me likey... And pretty decent pricing for Commercial Drive.
This is a small, no frills type of place that's been around for a long time. I think that speaks volumes about the quality of food, and at good value. There is always a fair amount of various dishes available and written up on the chalk board, my fiend and I have tried to try a lot of different dishes over the years but everyine has a favorite already. There is only one level of spicy but this is go to spicy comfort food, 5☆! I had a chana masala and dal makhani, your spicy veggie option 👍
