Had the Doner sandwich at the Eid Festival in Anaheim and it was pretty good, but they didn't have one with cheese in it. Will have to check out the restaurant next time I'm in the area.

Extremely authentic and delicious Turkish cuisine. Very high quality halal meat that is tender and moist. I have been here many, many times and have never been disappointed by the quality of the food. The Muslim owner is incredibly nice and has attested to the menu being completely halal. I would highly recommend Doner G to anyone looking for a quality meal and have introduced it to many of my friends.

For those who think Mediterranean food means Doner and Kebap, DonerG is a great introduction to a distinctive cuisine characterized by meat and a unique brand of kebap. Meat lovers will also delight in the Adana Kebap (ground beef kebap) and Chicken Kebap. My two sons\' unchanged menu is the doner (meat prepared on a vertical rotisserie) and the French Fries with unique spices. A family friendly place to visit when you are hungry in Irvine.

I visited on a Sunday recently and found it closed. Operating hours should be updated to reflect that they do not open on Sunday. This information is also missing from their website.

The food very delicious

Gyro with a G Iskender Kebab was a fairly unique dish for me. The combo of meat, yogurt and roasted veggies served on a pita was definitely a pleasant combination. Best pat was what topped the meat - their Iskender sauce! It had a nice flavor which complimented rest of the dish extremely well. They have a large and well illuminated sitting area. Also tried chicken and beef wrap which was very well made, all ingredients seemed fresh and meat was juicy. Definite recommendation

Not a place I would recommend for real authentic Arabic / middleastern food. Very bad ...no taste to the food tasteless! We ordered two donner kebab meat and they were disgusting ... The meat was cold as it was picked from a storage bowel ! Not fresh ... In fact The heating grill was off and the meat was on the grill, but we got served from the bowel.....! The Humous was as it was served from a can no taste no flavor...the fatush Salah was even a disaster ... By the end ... we left the place hoping we don't end up with food poisoning. The place is more of a dirty burger place. We Will not recommend it even for our dog ...DONT GO ... my advice

Went here twice when visiting Disneyland with the family in August. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Simple, clean, fresh food. Nothing fancy with simple seating. However, the food is superb and so is the service. Good prices and the freshest produce ! Go for the food. You won't regret it.

After a friend recommended me this place I thought to give it a try. And I was amazed! The food was great. I ordered the combo platter and it was delicious. Everything was great. The workers are friendly. I wish I could post pictures here.

The quality of the food and the cleanliness of the place have declined since it first opened. I wonder if there's a new owner? The food is ok, and pricey for what it is. Most annoying thing: hummus served in little plastic cups that have obviously been pre-filled and so they've dried out as they sit uncovered for who knows how long!

Salaams brothers and sisters, I've been to this restaurant a couple of times in the past and i wanted to share my experiences with you. Each time that I have been to DonerG, I have enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. I would highly recommend the chicken, beef and lamb kabobs. However, my favorite item to order is the Adani Kabob Wrap. Just one word to describe the feeling: Deeeeeeeelicious! :) You can't complain about the prices as they are much better than most other similar restaurants that I've been to. A good alternative for people looking for food to be served fast, hot, and pretty cheap. :) Oh, i almost forgot. Their sauces are to die for. Especially the orangish sauce. They go really well with their sandwiches and gyros.

The place is nice, and the customer service is great. Food is definitely good, but I have had better. I wasn't disappointed at all, and we would go back. My only complain is that their were no signs of halal anywhere. I was assured by the lady behind the counter that everything was. We will go back.

Not much to add onto what the other reviews have written. This place is fantastic - good, cheap food. I split the lamb kebab with a friend with an order of falafal and a side of the delicious hummus, and it was the perfect amount of food. I would absolutely recommend this place for lunch if you're in the area.

It's better than what it looks like. The food taste great. The prices was very reasonable. The best service I ever got. The bathroom is super clean. When I entered the restaurant, I wondered why it got such a good rating. Now I know why. It just needs some decorations. Very close to Disneyland.

When we were there, there was a buffet dinner. There was a wide spread at the buffet table. Everything was delicious. Will definitely recommend this restaurant to my family and friends.

I have been there a couple of times. Once for the Ramadan buffet. It's OK. They need to clean up the utensils better and fix the soda machine and clean it too. the kitchen looks run down and the cashier/head chef needs to spend more time focusing on the customers instead of using his cell.

I was looking forward to this place based on the ratings. However, I was a little disappointed with my visit. We waited a long time for our food. A guy gave us a baklava since we waited so long. The food was oily and salty. I guess the best one I tried was the spicy andana kabob. Atmosphere of the place was fast food as opposed to a restaurant. Price was reasonable, however, I don't think I would rush to go back anytime soon.

My husband and I popped in on this place after a day at Disney. Nice to have a Turkish restaurant in the area since Los Angeles doesnt really have any Turkish places. It's all Persian and Lebanese. There is a distinct difference in tastes and of course the dishes. Falafels are REALLY good and I forget the name of the dish I had, but it's their traditional doner meat dish in a tomato based sauce with pita bread on the bottom and yoghurt on the side. Very tasty, although served to us a little lukewarm. The owner came over and introduced himself and assured us the meat is all zabihah. We will definately go back next time we're in Anaheim.

The food was delightful and the enviornment was amazing the staff was very helpfull with the menu not to mention extremely good: They have a lot to choose from. Chicken, lamb, beef, salads, with various serving types (bread, pita, plates). The chicken is very tasty and juicy. Nice, clean place. Friendly owner. Interested where you are from, where you heard of the restaurant. Food is great! My daughrt is a fussy eater, but she loved the iskender. Owner was so nice, he wouldn't let us organise a taxi back to our hotel. He got one of his staff to drop us back. Now that's excellent service.

They are representing Turkish food and Turkish culture succesfully. Excellent food, friendly stuff, and fair price so it is a great place to get your family. Also, they support community activities as restaurant. They really took care of our Oc Turks soccer team when we were there. Awesome place.

The best gyro in Southern California. Friendly staff. One of the best decorations seen for a fast food restaurant. If you like gyro don't miss this one. I had all my lunches while in the convention center.

It was definitely better than I've expected. The tastes of foods were pretty good and prices were also reasonable. Service was quality and quick. They have an assortment of plates...chicken doner, shish, and a couple of the lamb plates... all very good, just wish it was not that delicious.. Doner G is an excellent restaurant with an appealing Turkish menu. Both lamb and chichken were delicious. The service was prompt and comforting. The price was very reasonable too.

I went to this place many times since their opining 18 months ago. Every single time the quality of the food and the service is getting better. I especially love the open buffet nights. You can eat as much as you like with a very reasonable price. They have a very rich and healthy menu... Keep up the good work guys..

Owner is very nice and friendly! He asked if it was my first time there (it was) and without me saying anything, he gave me a little plate so I could sample the meats. DonerG is the best mediterranean food serving place in OC. There's a great variety of delicious food which would give you a hard time making a decision what to eat. Another thing that I really like about this tidy place is; it is the Cleanest Restaurant in Arabic community,it's not pricy at all. You are missing a lot, if you haven't tried it yet.

I was there today, the Eid al Fetr with my friends and family for the first time. I really like the owner behavior. His name is Yalcin. He is a great guy and response very friendly. This place is going to be one of my favorites. The food was great, dishes were rich, and price was fair (4 ~ 16 $ range) Try it once, you are going to love it.

Assalaamu 'Alaykum. I've been to Doner G three times now, and Alhamdulillah, I've had a good experience every time. The doner plates are a bit on the pricey side but the food is delicious and well worth it. The restaurant is very clean and spacious and the service was very fast. My only minor gripe is that they close a bit before their advertised time so you may want to call ahead of going if you're cutting it close to closing time.

Food is not very authentic. I guess it is a pseudo middle eastern cuisine. The place is clean, the pricing is on the high side.

The food is very good and the place is very clean inside. I like the lamb sheesh kabobs. I also recommend the chicken donerg kabobs (basically shwarma style meat). It tastes much better then the beef. The baklava is very good as well, it's flown in from Turkey. Food prices are reasonable. They even have a prayer room.

I took my family there last weekend for dinner. It was one of the best and delicious food. Very clean and very very friendly and nice people. It was time for Salaatul Maghrib and they did provide place for Prayer and I give them a 5 star for that and May Allah make thier business successful....I wish all our Muslim businesses provide a facility for prayer so that right after a good Halal food we can Remember our Creator Allah and Thank Him for all that He provides for us all...and I think it will be good for the Restaurant Owner for many reasons and also for the Muslim sisters and brothers who go to eat there....If it happens that we are there and it is time for Prayer and then we are sure that we have a place to pray there Alhamdulillah we will not be rushing or going around to find a Masjid...Alhamdulillah it is great to see more Halal restaurants around and hope we as Muslims if we have to go eat outside then we need to go to our Muslim restaurants to show our support...Again I recommend everyone to go there and try this delicious Turkish food+++++++++++

I took my wife and children to Anaheim for Disney and did some planning before we left. My wife did a good search and found DonerG conveniently close to Disney. We had dinner and lunch there and loved it. First of all, it is very clean and all the cooking is done in front of you. Staff is extremely friendly. Inside is bright and open with extra space to move around, so it is not filled so many tables like some other places. Let's come to the main point: food, price and service. Food was delicious and plenty. I was shocked when I saw the plates. I eat well but it was really tough for me to finish the plate. We pretty much tasted all types of meat choices and all of them were delicious. Rice was great, too. Service was quite fast. And the prices are surprisingly low. I believe that the business model of DonerG is excellent since they use disposable materials and stations like fast food places, but they provide delicious Turkish Cuisine like a first class restaurant. All those dishes would be double priced in the Turkish restaurants in Chicago.

Assalamu alaykum, I came to this restaurant with my family expecting the usual meal; but I was pleasantly surprised. Other than there being music (most halal restaurants have it anyways), and no-waiters- you have to order and pick up the food yourself; the rest was quite nice. The restaurant was clean, the décor was clean, the photos of Turkey were a nice touch and is the good service, and the food was EXCELLENT; it looked very healthy, clean and delicious and it actually was. Highly recommended, will go back to enjoy some of their other plates soon inshallah.

It was a big suprise for me indeed. One of my friends took me to donerg last week. I felt at home... I realized that how i missed those tastes. I tried a couple of meals, all were wonderful. I moved to different state from OC and was not able to taste that place kabobs, unfortunately. I have there lots of Muslim friends who repeatedly telling me that my lost is huge, because their foods are delicious... I ve been there once which is the very first day. I got the mixed kabob platter upon some suggestions and the taste was perfectly delicios that i ve never tasted so far in the states.The meat is halal and there are bunch of smiling people around What special for this restaurant that owner told us is the sauce that they are using.It is brand new sauce for USA that never been used.I also like the design of the restaurant.The pictures are giving an historical and modern view of Turkey.This restaurant will be more popular than its conjugates gradually

I prefer not giving my real name;) since I am a famous cook.Before I got there I had heard of how delicious the turkish cuisine was.It is very close to my apartment and one day I decided to visit there instead of ordering. The atmosphere was excellent and unique. Then I got the menu and chose by random;)when the plate came the smell was gorgeous. Then I realized that not only the way it looked but the way it tasted was gorgeous,as well.Then I called the waiter and asked the name of what I was eating and he said it was called as Doner. It was the most delicious food I have ever tasted, you should go there!After I made my stomach stop grumbling;)I had a chance to lift my head out of the plate and looked around:)The pictures on the wall dazzled me since they were so affective.Since I asked toomuch question before, I didnot have the courage to ask about them:)However the firendly waiter came and stood beside me and Started to tell about the pictures like a guide. Since then I want to visit turkey and taste more food peculiar to its regions. Thank you so much to the owner to have brought in such a clean and gorgeous place...

i have been there last week. And honestly it was the cleaniest halal food resteurant i have everseen. I ordered kebab and it was just perfect. The important point is; they are very carefull about to serve HALAL MEAT. The staff of the restaurant was very welcoming. The quality of the accessories was excellent. They used marble and wood for the decoration. I think it is a perfect place to go with your family and with your colleagues.

I only tried both chicken and meat Doner, delicious, and there are other varieties of Turkish food served here. The owner is Muslim and they are using halal meat. Also you can find here a special Turkish dessert, Baklava. Prices are very reasonable and ambiance is very cool. You'll be surprised by the cleanness of this restaurant.

I was lucky enough to win a business card raffle and got a free catering meal. I had only gone to DonerG once before this and the DonerG Bomb was really good! Mediterranean food is one of my favorites and this catering meal came with the chicken, beef, rice, salad, and a bunch of sauces plus the pita bread. I had a delicious dinner with family and now I plan on getting a catering tray for my birthday this year! I can't wait. Thanks DonerG Anaheim!

Food was great. Service was also. I ordered mixed grill. Gyro still so good. Fries was fresh and dolma was good too. No wonder how many locations are in Los Angeles area. This company deserves it.

They have my vote. I came here before and it wasn’t what I expected. The owner came into the restaurant and fixed everything! Now, the food is prepared properly and delicious. He also places a sticker on your order now for reviews. Very yummy in my tummy!

I've been dining at the DonerG's Anaheim location for 10 years now. I eat there 3-6 times a month, which puts me at about 300 lunches and dinners. The restaurant from top to bottom is textbook as far as restaurants go.The place is impeccably clean and smells wonderful. The food is definitely very high quality and plentiful. The prices are very reasonable when you consider the food looks great, a lot of colorful veggies going on and the sauces and humus. Nowadays, restaurants are starting to charge for these little extras, but DonerG hasn't. And then there's the staff. In 10 years I've seen a lot of employees come and go. And I'm not sure how management pulls it off, but I've never seen a bad attitude or heard complaining or even gossip going on. The employees are quite friendly and helpful. You can tell they take pride in what they're doing. In particular, Juan Carlos and Dylan come to mind. These guys aren't just behind a counter dishing up food. They actually take an interest in the customers, engaging in small talk and they listen and remember what you said. I'm sorry, I know this was "just" a little food review, but I love this place and like to brag about it !

The first time I tried a Döner Kebab was in Stadthagen, Germany, and from that very first bite, I knew it was the best sandwich I would ever taste. During my months of living there, I indulged in nearly one Döner a day, fully aware that this luxury would eventually come to an end when I returned to the states. I still remember gazing out of the plane window heartbroken, as the faint twinkle of my favorite Döner shop faded into the distance. Back home, I began chasing that high. I spent an entire summer obsessively trying to perfect the traditional fladenbrot (Döner bread). Every failed attempt only fueled my determination. I needed that taste again, I craved it, I had to have it. A few days ago I arrived in Los Angeles, ready to start a new chapter. Yet, that unforgettable sandwich lingered in my mind. Could I possibly find a Döner here? I quickly pulled out my phone and opened the maps app, and there it was… DonerG. My eyes widened, and I gasped. A Döner shop? In LA? Could it possibly compare to the authentic ones I munched every day in Germany? I had to find out. Walking into the restaurant, I was greeted by two of the kindest staff I’ve ever encountered. Despite my skepticism, when the food arrived, it looked authentic. It smelled authentic. I snapped a quick photo, but I couldn’t wait any longer. That first bite was a rush of euphoria washing over me. One that could only be described as peace. Every flavor, every texture, transported me back to that first Döner I had so long ago. This was it. This was exactly what I had been longing for. If DönerG offered a lifetime membership, I would pay any price. The food isn’t just a 10, it makes LA a 10. Whether you’re a homesick German or a curious tourist craving something new, DönerG is the place to go. Thank you, DönerG. Ich liebe dich.
