Amazing people and amazing food!

I liked the restaurant. Nothing fancy but everything is halal. Cheap price and large portion.

It was simply great, it's my 3rd time and the food is always good. I recommend their chicken so much.

Smallish restaurant serving Horn of Africa cuisine which is refreshing to those who want a different taste to the palette than the usual Middle Eastern, Indo-Pak food. The food is good, the servings plentiful, and the service is good. The ambience is not great and the location is decidedly "not upmarket". There are other halal establishments including a meat store and the whole plaza has a Somali feel to it. Try it and appreciate a different food experience.

The quality and taste/flavor of food is great. However the environment could improve. The person who served us (wife and toddler) was very friendly and gave us a free mango juice and salad. Will definitely go there again and try out different items on the menu

I had the bead and lamb gyro plate. The sambusa was my favorite part of my meal. The service was quick.

First time here. An Uber driver recommended it lol as I was looking for a restaurant in pheonix that served african food. I loved the huge amounts of food ( as I am a foodie ?) , affordable prices. Above all, the food was flavorful, and the host/ manager was very friendly. We will be coming back for sure.

Waamo is fantastic African food!!!! The Qutulaash and the Lamb shank are delicious, and the Samosas are incredible with the green sauce!!!! I'll definitely come back to get the goat.

Awesome food. I had the Chicken Sukhaar and I must say it was definitely delicious. The way how the chicken was marinated was amazing and everything tasted fresh. Exceptional service as well and I will be visiting next time I’m in the Phoenix area.

I went to this place with one of my friends. From the outside and inside it looks like an ordinary restaurant but their food was extraordinary!!! Their falafel sandwich, more like a wrap was delicious. My friend and I both loved the food, we both ordered the vegetarian item falafel sandwich.

The atmosphere was meh. Nothing special. But the gentleman serving was helpful with any question or suggestions. Quick service. I had the goat, hilib, that tasted too me like oxtail. The appetizer we had was yummy. They have a "salsa" that was served with the appetizer that was great and spicy.

Friendly service and great menu recommendations! We dropped by and didn’t know anything about Somali food. The Sambusas are an amazing appetizer and the Chicken Shawarma was almost too much to finish in one setting! So glad we got out of our comfort zone and tried something new. Great experience that brought our group back twice more.
