I went here with my wife on a Saturday afternoon. The quality/taste of the food was good and the place was well maintained. But the service we got was just bad. Firstly, while we were just settling in the waiter kept on asking if we were ready to order. I had to send him back thrice since my wife was in the washroom. Then the waiter gave us the wrong information about the quantity of the dishes we were ordering. So we ended up with more food then we could eat. Then when i asked him to pack the rest for us , he brought us foil and disposable containers asking us to pack it ourselves. I have never seen this happen anywhere! .
Ate here several times. It is expensive (for the scale or the restaurant) and bread is extra. The atmosphere and interior of the restaurant is very nice. I've had excellent and mediocre service. Never had a problem with taste or quality of the food.
Overal a very pleasent and tasty experience despite the fact the it was a bit pricey for the portions received. Also, naan did not come with the meal as I was used to getting at less upscale places. This was a great mid-day date spot for my wife and I but I don't think we'll return
We ordered seekh kabab and chicken biryani to go. It was pretty expensive for the quantity but it was tasty overall. The setup and decor inside was nice. I would return if in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way. It is average.
Went in for a take out once. The decor is nice and definitely the kind of place you can bring family and guests for dinner. Staff is friendly and food was good. A little pricey but that's downtown Philadelphia for you. Street side parking was easy to find.
First of all, this is not a typical Indian restaurant. It’s a Bangladeshi cuisine. The food is very low quality. You don’t get Indian flavors or the cooking style. We ordered mixed chicken tandoori which was overcooked, charred and not marinated well. Chicken curry was okay- we ordered mild but it was very spicy and our kids did not handle well. In chicken biryani, you get almost rotten chicken pieces and there is no taste that you expect in a South Indian dish.
Best Indian restaurant in the area! Must try. The flavors were exceptional at any spice level, including dessert. Love finding 5 star food in a casual setting at a reasonable price!
My wife and I were looking for a spot to eat lunch on her birthday, So we decided to try this Indian Cuisine spot in the area of her work. We walked in and it was empty, So we werent sure if we had the wrong spot. A gentleman sat us and gave us menus. The gentleman was not rude but was not very friendly. No disrespect, But I said Thank you about a half dozen times with out a response. Its fine, Service isnt the thing here. You get your food, you eat, you walk up and pay the check (dont upset yourself and wait, pay when youre ready). The food is really the reason to go eat, so I will say the food was good. Everything was pretty good except for the lamb samosa, which was a bit dry and had a lot of allspice. The music was Indi Pop Music Videos playing, and I actually enjoyed that quite a bit. This seems like a place that would be a great spot to order take out or door dash through if you enjoy Indian food. I recommend the Palak Chicken. Make sure to make good use of your sauces, to liven up any menu item.
Owner and staff are very friendly and accommodating very good restaurant. Glad to see good Indian food after so long locally! Definitely worth it! Don’t go by the negative reviews below it’s a family and friends of a upset customer. The food and service is phenomenal hands down
I recently tried the food from this restaurant and was very disappointed. The dishes lacked authenticity and felt like they were made with little care or effort. If you're looking for real Indian food, this is not the place to find it. It seems like they are just using the name, but the quality and flavors fall far short. I wouldn't recommend this place at all—zero stars if I could.
I recently ordered the Butter chicken, yellow dal and Rotis from here and everything was below par. The taste lacks any authenticity and the quantities are a waste for your money. If you’re looking for a good flavored Indian meal, kindly avoid this place. The meat used is also bad quality and very chewy and tough, the Rotis were equivalent, if not worse than the frozen ones you would get in a grocery store aisle. I would never be visiting or ordering from this restaurant again.
I ordered chicken biryani, mutton curry, butter chicken and mango lassi from their website. I got very small portions of food for the money I spent. The food was also average in quality. The only thing I would recommend is the lassi. Also if you order from their website and you pay the tip that does not go to the delivery driver. I had to tip twice. I was overall disappointed in my order.
The food, service and the ambiance were all pleasant. Service in fact was excellent. Chicken sheesh Kabab was just right, the lasooni paneer was perfect. Daal I would give 4 out of 5, personal reasons. Overall experience 5 stars.
