I had a very disappointing experience with Argos inside Sainsbury’s Hayes. I collected the phone at around 4:08pm, and staff told me the delivery had just arrived and asked me to wait before handing it over. However, the “ready for collection” email came later, after I had already collected the item. When I opened the box, the device inside was not an iPhone but an Android phone — completely different from what I paid £1199 for. I returned to the store within 5 days, but the manager, Mahander Sharma, refused to resolve the issue and directed me to customer service, who also failed to help. This is unacceptable. Items are clearly not being checked properly, and customers are left dealing with serious mistakes
