Pro's: All desi food is halal (indian and pakistani) at this restaurant. The lady behind the counter confirmed this for me. The cheesesteaks are halal and pretty good. The chicken tandoori pizza is halal (when requested). Cons: Not all of the chicken is halal in the american side, so if ordering a pizza or similar item, ask for halal. Overall the food is pretty good here. The indian food is more nepali based, but still very good. I recommend the chicken tikka masala.

I must agree with adilihsan. This place is quite suspicious. I agree that the folks working there were certainly not Muslims. Nowhere on the menu does it indicate that it serves zabihah or halal food. Poking around I found a spot on a refrigerator that had a small, worn-out halal sticker on it. By the condition of that label, it seemed likely that it belonged to someone else that may have previously owned that refrigerator. I will continue my investigation if I visit that place again. So far, I felt that the claims of selling halal may likely be false but that is just how I felt"¦ only Allah(SWT) knows best. If my fears are recognized, I would like to know from this community if there is any authority that we could report restaurants that issue false claims of selling halal"¦ our brothers and sisters make a serious effort to eat well and greedy restaurant owners (sometimes unknowingly) mess it up for them. It's up to us to be vigilant and report any suspicions for further investigation"¦ but where?

Every time I have been to Gateway Pizza I have come away satisfied. All Indian/Pakistani dishes are halal but request halal for American/Italian dishes. Grilled Chicken sub with the works, Tandoorie chicken pizza, Lamb Biryani, and butter chicken are my favorites. They can make all the dishes super spicy so we usually get medium spicy.
