Excellent food and service! HMC certified. Also, soon to be called The Mint. A tad expensive. But, food really nice!

Not keen on eating in an Indian eatery, I found this place via the net. This is a fairly large restaurant which is beautifully decorated with a 'Moroccan' feel to it. The restaurant serves an extensive Indian and Mediterranean menu from the usual biryani type dishes to the specialist kebabs and tagines. Prices are about average for this type of restaurant and would recommend for a special occasion. We needed a couple of highchairs but only one was available at time of booking however, they were able to attain a 2nd one for us.. very accommodating. Both service and food was good. We paid an average of about £20 per head. As the restaurant is on the High Road, there are double yellow lines outside. However the nearest side road was less than a minute away so we were able to park there. If coming by tube, nearest station is South Woodford and it's probably about a 7-8 mins walk...

GoogleThis restaurant has changed it's name a few times recently and sadly the food and service seem to get worse with each name change..... it's now back to Baharat I went there with friends on Saturday night and won't ever be going back. Service was bad, left waiting for ages, the chef was 'chilli happy' meaning all of our curries were ridiculously hot (the jalfrezi was even hotter than the madras dish that one person ordered). Really small portions - I think I barely had 5 smalls bits of chicken in mine so I actually left hungry. Then for the second time we had problems using the Redbridge Card discount - if you don't want to give the discount then don't sign up to the scheme or have the Redbridge Card sticker on the door. I actually had to look the offer up on my phone to show it to them to get it. Awful place. There's a Jaipur the other side of George Lane - much nice food and atmosphere, I recommend people go there instead!
