This place is amazing. The name is a bit misleading as this is not an Indian or Pakistani restaurant but serves delicious Afghani cuisine. They offer an amazing lunch buffet. Their meats are tender and moist, not dried up like a lot of Indian buffets. Bolani which is an appetizer consisting of pan fried flatbread stuffed with potatoes is really good. They offer boneless and bone in chicken, beef or lamb kababs and fish as well as a variety of other dishes in their buffet. Freshly prepared salads and various chutneys are the icing on the cake ... talking about desert, they offer a good rice pudding or Firnee and some fruits. If you think that their buffet is good, then dinner at night a la carte is even better. BarBQ platter called the King\'s platter is a good option. Their are a variety of Kobidehs also offered. You must order everything with their special Chutneys. They really bring out the flavor in the food.

The ownership has changed, people DON\'T go there. They charge you for tab water to everything.It\'s a ripoff you can get double portion of food at the local Persian restaurant for half the cost.very mean rude staff. They treat you like they are Serving you food for free. They charge for chutney too LOL it\'s a joke of the century.

My family went there (2 adults, two kids, a toddler) for dinner last week. We really liked the atmosphere a lot, and the decor. The large round tables in the second room are perfect for a family! The waiter we had was really welcoming, friendly, and kind, which (sadly) is a change from a lot of Muslim places. We ordered Samosas for our appetizer and enjoyed them - they are small, and a nice size, especially for kids. The dipping sauces are good too. My husband tried the Kabouli Rice with Lamb (did I spell that right?), and since I don't like lamb myself, I was SO happy to find I could get a whole side of that rice without meat! So yay for the rice, raisins, and carrots! My kids tried their grilled chicken kabob - and they liked it - but I thought it tasted in terms of spice a lot like Hatams/Persian style chicken (not sure if that is a good thing or bad thing.) We liked it enough to come back, especially because the environment was warm and welcoming and suitable for kids. (And if you are alone as a couple or with friends, they have these cute couches with low tables you can sit at which looked really nice) Also - in case you once knew them as the tiny place in Lake Forest - they are now in a nice large restaurant. I was told they also cater, have special Ramadan iftaar meals....and maybe a buffet on some days? Totally worth coming to! Oh...and everything is Zabihah with NO ALCOHOL served!

I went there for the buffet so wasn't able to eat their Chapli kabob and Kabuli Pulao but among the buffet items loved the Chicken with bones, Bolani and another Potato dish. the beef Kubideh needs improvement. The service as well as the ambiance was good.

I enjoyed the ambience and quality of food. I was here with some co workers who also liked the food. This place is definitely better then some other area Afghan restaurants.

Having lived in the Bay Area for many years I really missed having good Afghan food. Chili Chutney has satisfied my cravings for Chapli Kabobs. I ordered Chapli Kabobs and potato Bolani. Both were very good. The chapli kabob had a good texture amount of spice. The Bolani was crisp, I wish it had a little more potato filling but it was still very good. The rice that came with the kabobs was excellent. The decor of the restaurant is very nice. My order was taken quickly but the food took longer than usual to arrive. The quality of the food did make up for the long wait. I will be going back to try their Kabuli Pallao.

Really, really good food! So happy to finally have good Afghan food in SoCal. Their Ramadan dinner buffet was fabulous at 14.99. Best part- everything in their buffet was delicious and plentiful! New location is very nice too and they even have a small banquet hall. Will definitely be returning! Ps- love love love the mantu!

This is small place in Lake Forest. I heard about it through some friends who told me the taste was great. I went with a co-worker and was not disappointed. The owner was super nice and hospitable. Food was really good and plentiful. I wish they had a smaller lunch menu like sandwiches. Will go there again.

The food is amazing. The restaurant is small and is situated next to a liquor store, but it is worth the trip! The price is great, especially for the quality!

This place just opened 2 weeks ago and I stopped by today after Juma at Mission Viejo. Its a small place but the food tastes great! Real authentic homemade Afghan food in the OC...finally! I'd definitely recommend this place and will visit again and again.
