Good succulent kabobs. Good price for the quality of food although may seem bit steep to some used to eating dead rabbit and being calles chicken 😂. Overall good experience will be returning in sha Allah. Islamic center hawthorne literally behind the restaurant just walk across parking lot.
Excellent food. I just finished my Lamb Shank. It was the one of the best Lamb Shank I ever have. I will give the food 5 star and decor of the place 3 star.
Good food not perfect i like kubba i like falafel the meat is not pure meat its full of oil
We had fried chicken, cheese burger and shawarma. The cheese burger was too spicy for our kid although it came as a part of the kid\'s menu. Shawarma was just OK; but the fried chicken was very good and with very good price. The best Halal fried chicken we had ever eaten in the US.
I had lunch here this afternoon. The burger was good and it was different, very unlike the traditional fast food burgers. The hummus that was served as side was ok, but I've tasted much better hummus. Service was fast and friendly and prices were fair.
Great food, nice and clean restaurant and right across from Hawthorne Masjid. We had wraps and they were very good.
Food is great, wide selection, reasonable prices. Service was not impressive when we visited this restaurant.
The meats at this place are really tender and succulent. Having said that, the price for 7 skewers with rice, salad and hummus was $45. I was not impressed with the roasted pepper hummus or the roasted garlic hummus especially for this place being called the "hummus house". I've had better hummus from the grocery store. The samosas were pretty good but also $5 for 4 little pieces. The mango lassi was not good and I would avoid it in the future. If I come back, I would only come for the meat.
The restaurant looks nice and clean. Tgr food is okay and the service is okay too. The prices are comparable. I would go back.
I ve eaten here a few times with friends. Often to serve our cravings for broasted chicken (KFC type!). I would say the food is alright though not too specially delicious.. better than many other mediterranean places though. The hummus platter is great, the broasted chicken is delicious(though it takes time, we sometimes call in advance, also sometimes it gets a little salty).. and the kebabs are nice too. I brought some non-muslims friends here and they loved it. The service is often friendly, accomodating. and I think the prices are reasonable .. though they increased their great prices on the fried chicken recently.
The food is really good, but service isnt that good.
I was in LA for two days for a trip. Based Zabihah's ratings, we went to this restaurant and we were really happy. The place was clean and the employees who work there( we encountered at least two of them) were really friendly. And of course....the food was REALLY good. We tried shawarma, Whole fried chicked and chicken kabaabs and they were all really good. We liked the place so much that on my second day of trip, i drove half hour extra just to come back to this place to east something good. Both my son and my wife loved it as well.
This restaurant looks pretty fancy inside but the food quality is average, didnt had the best experience to write the whole thing .
Best Shawarma in town...Have been there around 6-7 times...Every time i am in the area, i make sure that i eat in this restaurant...Nice decor...
We ate here 3 times in 3 days; That in itself should tell you something. The Hummus is good, the "broasted" chicken is great and juicy, the lamb chops were very tender, the shawarma plate has a POUND of meat on it, the appetizers are amazing. To add to all that, the food is cheap, service is ok.
the food is o.k.
great foods, great service, and most of all great decor.
Beautiful decor... excellent food. Loved the jalapeno hummus, dolmas & falafel. I will be back!
Finger Licking gooooood! We ordered the chicken shawarma plate and Lamb both of which were served with rice and salad. The hummus tasted Soooooo goood. We ordered the Traditional and Jalapeño cilantro ( For me it wasn’t that spicy) but it tasted so so soooo goood and cherry on top is the service. Really nice people and great pita breads! ❤️
This place is delicious and nutritious . I got the chicken kabob and steak kabob, I'm basic(I know, don't judge me). The chicken is fantastic and my favorite. The steak is juicy and perfectly cooked, the rice is tasty, but I would have liked a bit more(I love rice). The salad with the unique dressing is a perfect compliment to the meats and rice. I ordered the garlic humus and I wish I had asked for extra. This place has 8 or so different humus flavors, I will be coming back to try the other variations of humus. I found an olive in my salad and it was super salty, I hate olives. The atmosphere was cozy and warm, if the restaurant played music it would be 5 of the 5 stars. The pricing is more than fair for the quality of the food you get. I recommend you go there now and tell them that Andres sent you.
when we walked in we were overwhelmed by the smoke coming from the kitchen. the entire restaurant air was hazy, and the interior and the poor lighting reminded me of a cafeteria. the service was very good, but the food was mediocre. i’ve definitely had better mediterranean food than this.
One of the best chicken Ive ever eaten! Really really great place to go! We took chicken grill and chicken skewers, they were a little bit different, it was fun to compare, but both are excellent! Plus the prices are very good, idk how they can do such a combination in our time with great food + low prices, but they do! Such a big respect to this place!
Great Mediterranean Food Near My Hotel I was looking for Mediterranean food and found this restaurant conveniently located near my hotel. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma Wrap, and it tasted absolutely delicious! Highly recommended for anyone craving good Mediterranean cuisine.
This place never disappoints. I've haven't been in over five years because I no longer live in the area so going back for a visit was fantastic. The food is still delicious and it's still very affordable. Three adults eating a full meal and the bill was $48, you can't find pricing like that anymore. I'm so glad this place is still there.
Delicious food. Great service. Really enjoyed the roasted tomato hummus.
Hummus House in California offers a delightful experience with fresh and flavorful Mediterranean dishes. The staff is incredibly nice and attentive, making the visit even better. I asked about the earlier days when they gave free pita chips, and to my surprise, they generously offered a free side! The hummus is smooth and perfectly seasoned, pairing well with the warm, fluffy pita bread. Their shawarma and falafel are standout options, packed with authentic flavors. The portions are generous, making it great value for the price. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, perfect for a quick meal or relaxed dine-in. Parking is easy, and the service is quick. Whether you’re a hummus fan or exploring Mediterranean cuisine, this spot is worth a visit. Highly recommended!
