GoogleUnderwhelming experience. I visited for a Sunday family meal after hearing great things about the restaurant, but unfortunately the experience went downhill after we placed our order. We ordered a chicken and lamb platter, but the waitress later returned to tell us they had run out of the lamb that normally comes with it due to Valentine’s Day the day before. Considering it was only 1pm, this was disappointing. We were offered an alternative and agreed to have additional chicken and lamb cutlets instead. The waitress apologised for not speaking fluent English, which we had no issue with, but there was clearly a miscommunication. When the bill arrived, I had been charged £17 for the additional meat — almost the price of a full meal for just two skewers. Had the restaurant managed their stock properly, this situation could have been avoided. I chose not to raise the issue at the time as the atmosphere was pleasant and I didn’t want to make a scene, especially as I was dining with my toddler. However, after reflecting on the experience, I feel this feedback is justified. To make matters worse, my chicken arrived undercooked and had to be sent back to be cooked further. In total, the bill came to £91 (after a 20% discount) for a platter for two, two drinks, chips, and a children’s meal with one side — which felt very poor value for the experience. Honestly, the money would have been better spent elsewhere. That said, the staff were mostly friendly and the atmosphere was lovely — which makes the overall experience even more disappointing.
