Paramount Fine Foods represents three generations in the food industry when we were first established in 1918 as wholesalers of pistachios, coffee, almonds and dried fruits. Throughout the years we have gained a distinguished reputation - even recognized by the Municipality of U.A.E. for Food Hygiene Standard and Practices. We are always striving to source the freshest products - from freshly baked pita straight from our one of a kind wood ovens to charcoal for our BBQ to shawarmas prepared daily by our premier chefs with exotic spices from the middle-east. May we suggest you finish your meal with a delicious Baklawa prepared by our pastry chefs from our full bakery. Our secret one of a kind recipes are authentic and have been passed on for generations to enjoy - low in fat and wholesome in taste. Paramount Fine Foods makes no compromises when it comes to service, quality and the overall customer experience. Paramount features halal meat, shawarma, kebabs, cookies, baklava, khubs, dates, juices, specialty drinks, ice creams and coffee beans.
A halal certificate is clearly visible on the premises. Paramount Butcher Shop works directly with local farmers to ensure that only the highest quality meat reaches our guests. We believe that great tasting meat starts with naturally fed animals that are bred in a healthy environment. We offer healthy options: only the best of prime beef, dry-aged beef, chicken, lamb, poultry, veal, goat, an assortment of deli meats, and the option for special cuts upon request. All of our meats are Ontario-raised and of the highest quality. The Halal process of hand-slaughtering is an abuse-free process. Our animals are not given hormones or growth-promoted additives and are allowed to grow at a natural pace, living with low-stress, and a healthy life. As a result, our guests consume meats that are far healthier than our competitors.

We visited the restaurant in downtown Toronto, near The Eanton Centre. It was lunchtime, and it was jam-packed. We were seated quickly, and the food -standard Arab fare, arrived reasonably quickly. Again, good for Muslims seeking halal food, but it is average.
Been going to paramount since they opened in Mississauga. Prices have consistanly been going up and way more than inflation. The portions have been going down as well. The last several times we tried in downtown, Mississauga and Milton have been unbearable to eat. The mix grill was either too dried or cold. The customer service has also come down. They had an era where they have put focus on their customer service and think they should bring it back again.. For now, we have decided to stop going to these restaurants. Strangely enough, our friends and family have also noticed these changes..
Very good food! I had kefta kebab and I loved it. Great place to eat good food
If you are looking for good quality arab food, this is the place to go. Food and location deserve 5 stars. Service is usually good but degrades slightly when busy. price is fair if you consider the quality and service. This is one of my most frequented restaurants in downtown Toronto.
Very good homelike cooked food. Clean environment. We would go again.
This location is right across the street from the Eaton Centre, which is very convenient. I tried the BBQ Meat sandwich, which was pretty good, although it could use some hot sauce on the side (I'm desi, what can I say:)). I also tried the Chicken & Veggie Manakesh which was very good and the plain Cheese Manakesh (aka "Jebneh"), which was excellent! The fresh strawberry juice was good, but a little too sweet (they put sugar in it). This place get's packed for dinner time, but the food is made fresh and tastes good. Highly recommend it.
Paramount has the best Lebanese food in Toronto. It is 100% authentic Lebanese. And they make the best rice! The service is quick and the variety of food is also great!
Good middle eastern food. Service as fast and clean tables to sit at. They are really busy during lunch, sometimes lineups outside. They have a small a prayer downstairs as well. For this reason alone they get two thumbs up !
You may see the photos added. All chairs from the floor was placed above the served plates and cutleries. While placing the chairs, the legs of chairs with all the dirts from a busy restaurant floor was touching the served plates repeatedly. That felt so weird and that one thing shows the store’s attitude about cleanliness and hygiene. Hope I never have to go there again. Though the food was okay. The kinafe was wonderful and the mint tea refreshing. Polite server was very cordial. B U T at the end of the meal before leaving what I saw, made me decide to never be back there.
We ordered the share platter which is perfect for 2, maybe 3 people depending on combined appetite. The meats were delicious-- savoury and very nice texture. As was the garlic sauce and hummus. Our grippe was that the platter didn't come with pickled veggies and the portion of the sides (rice and fries) was very small. The bread was satisfying but was just average in taste and texture. Overall we found the value wasn't there despite the meat being super delicious. For reference, $100 before taxes for what is pictured.
Visiting from Sudbury for a concert, we love shawarma, and Paramount’s beautiful storefront and architecture immediately caught our eye. We were looking for an experience we wouldn’t get back home, and it delivered. They describe themselves as high-quality Lebanese and Middle Eastern fine dining, and we couldn’t agree more. We already love authentic shawarma back home, but this was something truly special. We ordered the Saj Chicken Tabliyeh to experience something beyond our usual shawarma wraps. Our server, Hussein, was incredibly welcoming and helped make trying something new feel effortless. The food was hands down some of the best we’ve ever had. The restaurant was full of families enjoying their Saturday night and had such a warm, comfortable vibe. Thoughtful service throughout. I also had the raspberry mint refresher, which was delicious, and the complimentary baklava was the perfect finishing touch. 10,000 out of 10. Would absolutely go out of our way to visit again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Fresh, authentic, and reliable. Best beef shawarma in the area! The staff is always friendly, and the food comes out fast. It’s my go-to spot whenever I’m shopping at the Eaton Centre and want a real meal. Don’t leave without grabbing some baklava on the way out!
Excellent food and outstanding service! Paramount Middle Eastern Kitchen offers delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared dishes with authentic flavors that truly stand out. The atmosphere is welcoming and perfect for a relaxed meal. A very special thank-you to our waitress, Shahista, who made the experience exceptional. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, making us feel welcomed from start to finish. Her service alone is a reason to come back. Highly recommended!
