Tried the chicken shawarma 5/5, and falafel plate 4.5/5. Very pleasant attendee. I'm going again.
Best Falafel in the city :)
Good quality food, good service, what you'd expect from an average-to-decent Arab restaurant. can be a bit pricey, but the lunch special is a great deal
For appetizers, we had the grape leaf rolls, hummus, and falafel. My favorite was the rolls because they taste so fresh. The pita is delicious too. For entrees, I enjoyed the beef shish kebab and lamb shawerma. The rice was seasoned but not over-salted, and the meat was juicy. It’s great Mediterranean food with reasonable prices!
A slice of Gaza right here in Chicago! This rare gem has the best falafel I've ever had in the US, crunchy on the outside, fluffy and perfectly seasoned on the inside. The shawarma platter was phenomenal, and the grilled fish was fresh and delicious. We also tried the mixed grilled platter with rice, quality and quantity are outstanding. The owner of the restaurant made us feel right at home from the minute we walked in. Impeccable Palestinian hospitality, well worth the drive north. We will definitely be back!
I’ve eaten here three times and the first two were the best. The service is always great. The pita bread is store bought and the baklava was disappointing. The combo plate is delicious. You can taste it’s homemade.
Great Reataurant ! Delicious food ( we ordered lamb with hummus and salad). Their Lamb deserves Michelins Start! It is melting in your mouth ! They make their own white sauce which deserves 10 star ! You should try it ! Friendly stuff. Good price . Nice unique decor . Highly recommended! They also have take out , it will be perfect for any party ! Free easy street parking
Best veggie food in the area! Go here for the freshest hommus plates, roasted eggplant dip (best babaganough I've ever had in Chicago) and delicious falafel made on premises with beautiful green moist insides. They also have fresh squeezed juices-yay. Pita bread is not made at the restaurant though it's decent-boo hoo. Generally, most everything I've had is consistently highest quality all the time and the prices are fair. The service is always good too, no complaints. The atmosphere is nothing fancy just chill and clean vibes. Get a baklava for dessert if you have room.
I loved this place! Food is tasty, restaurant seems clean and fresh. I got a combo of beef, chicken and pita with salad, I’d say 10/10
We order from this place all the time as it is quite close. The falafel is perfect, and when I order delivery it is still hot and crispy when it arrives. Having experience as a professional cook in a falafel restaurant, I understand that this means their timing and coordination are top of the line. Same goes for the french fries. I also love to order the shawarma and kifta wrap sandwiches, and we add lentil soup every time. The service is great too, and I wish I knew the name of one woman who is just a gem, so helpful and friendly whether dining in or ordering on the phone. They have desserts made by Nazareth Sweets just across the street as well, which are amazing. I can't recommend this place enough!!!
This place was great. Everything was delicious, staff was friendly and took care of us. Portions were sizable and the Arabic coffee was a wonderful surprise! We’ll definitely be back.
