I had chicken tikka masala, naan, and pakoras. Pakoras were slightly "doughy" but had quite a kick to them. Chicken tikka and naan were the bomb. The naan was the size of a pizza. They serve healthy portions; plenty of left overs. Free chai and pitchers of water. Staff was friendly. Place is clean and is in an awesome location. They have patio seating that is very relaxing. Definitely recommend this place.
We've been ordering from House of Curries for many years but I won't be anymore. The prices have gone way up, the quality is way down and the last straw was the food poisoning my 8 year old just endured. On top of that, the delivery guy said he had to wait 40 minutes for our order. Get your act together, House of Curries!
After being their loyal customer for 10+ years, I finally got pictures and write down my review.Their cheese Naan is heavenly. I don’t lie. It is so good that I probably get high eating cheese naan. That’s why I never got a chance taking a picture in so many years. Why now? Because I went during Ramadan, and Naan was ready 2 minutes before sunset. Yay picture time finally! Go enjoy their cheese naan. This is the only place that serves cheese naan like this in the Bay Area.
This is not a biryani. It’s just a white rice with raw turmeric. Worst biryani ever tasted. Not any smell of single biryani’s masala. This was full of bell peppers.
Bhindi doesn’t taste fresh and Chicken tiki masala tastes like they used tomato soup from a can. They charge too much for low quality.
Prices alright for the quantity but you get what you pay for. FOOD We ordered Lamb Tikka masala, Cheese Naan, and rice. The Tikka masala tasted more like tomato soup but it was still good. The cheese naan is very filling and I liked it a lot as it was thicker than what I'd normally expect SERVICE This place is more of a self-serve place. We had to get our own water, plates, silverware, and drinks. That being said, the tea and sugar was complimentary and serving ourselves wasn't too big a deal. We got our food relatively quickly ATMOSPHERE Place has indoor and the tables outdoors has heating. Nothing too big to write home about As for the pictures. I forgot to take pics until mid eating but this is what we had left. We ended up ordering chicken Tikka on the side and it also tasted more like tomato soup. Still good though
Perfect for everyone. I ordered the garlic nan and lamb beryani was very delicious and great customer service. Got my order less than 5 minutes. Reasonable prices. This restaurant will be my go to place. It was my first time here.
I've loved this place for the last two years. It's been fairly priced, tasty and my favourite. However, the last two times I picked up food from here I had an awfully disappointing experience ( the last time was today). I feel the need to share my experience and urge the people thinking about getting food from here to look for an alternative. During my penultimate visit, the cardboard container with the pakoras was mushy and uncooked. I couldn't eat them and I took this issue as an occasional mistake. Today, I showed up at the time specified by the online order. The person behind the counter did not seem to understand me or have any idea of an order with my name on it. Eventually he told me to wait five minutes. After good 10 min. of wait, watching other orders being deliver, seen my pakoras put in the microwave and subsequently fried them (they were already cooked), watch the guy behind the counter helping with the cooking and pushing my food into the container with bare hands ( same hands used to accept cash); I received my order without any apologies nor the sauces. At home I tried to eat the burned pakoras. I felt disrespected and they managed to put me off curries (I didn't think this would be possible). I obviously made a mistake with this place. So please don't waste your time or money. Avoid it!
Good place for great food. The family have been coming here for their Indian cuisine and tea. The family favorite is the lamb tikkamasala and the naan. We have been coming here for 14 years now and the food and service have been great and consistent. Recommend it highly.
