I work near Asda and coming to ASDA wearing my uniform of the company and boots on. I'm in my mid 30s clearly NOT looking like a teen at all specially with my full face beard. I've came across difficulties getting a vape from a colleague Motiquer (if I remember and spelled the name right. Male, not local and looking bit on older side. Works in the cigarette section in mornings). As much as I understand and respect having a physical ID to get substances containing nicotine, in my case it is simple common sense and pretty evident I'm over the legal age. This has happened 2 times now and really funny coz he has served me vape few times before. I've shown him my uniform which was under the jacket and my ID on the phone but still arrogantly refused. When asked about the times he has served me before he told he might have been in a hurry at the time which is ironic. And he arrogantly said to complain anyone and he doesn't care. What an attitude. Again as much as I understand the policy it is extremely important for ASDA to have capable people on the counter with common sense and knows customer service. The purpose of showing the ID should be well understood by the workers which is to abide by law but not to torture regular customers. I've seen once he started an argument with a lady because he's speaking ill mannered which was done the same way with me. I spoke to the supervisor but he told that's nothing he could do. My simple decision is never to go to any ASDA again.
