Asked for beef chuck 2 times, only to be given “beef boneless” which was £16+ a KG.. later called back as I was unsure what I was given and it transpires there was no chuck this day and instead I was apparently given topside. This is fairly irresponsible - we have been before and not had issues with this butcher but will be wary of what we’ve been sold going forward. If items are not available then staff should be honest instead of misselling products which could be unsuitable for a recipe. Only reason we’re not giving 1 star is we have purchased lamb and chicken before with success - we will count this as a (costly) mistake from the butcher.
