About Cham Bakery
Sharing our family pita bread with St. Louis is our way to give back to the community that so warmly welcomed us. Originally from Damascus, Syria, the Alderie family opened Cham Bakery to provide St. Louis restaurants and grocers with local Middle Eastern pita bread. Our recipe was passed down from grandfather to father to son. Our bread is meant to be shared with family and friends, at every meal of the day. We use simple ingredients: flour, salt, sugar, yeast. Pita bread is popular with everyone, not only Middle Eastern people. It can be used for dipping with spreads, wraps, stuffed pocket sandwiches, pizza bases, baked into chips or enjoyed alone, straight out of the bag.
