About Pondicheri

Pondicheri is the old French name of a city in Southern India now called Puducherry (or Pondicherrry and fondly known as Pondi in short). We named it Pondicheri, not because we or our food is from there, but just because we loved the sound of the word! Our menu choices represent carefully curated and authentic yet reinvented preparations from all over the Indian subcontinent to showcase the best of the cuisine.

The only halal meat they have here are the Goat samosas. Everything else (in terms of meat items) on the menu are not Halal. If your up for having vegetarian indian food, especially if you\'re with your non-desi/arab friends, then this is the place to go. Excellent decor and the dessert/bakery items are AMAZING! You\'ll be pleasantly surprised by their unique flavor of donuts.

This place offers a very unique concept in fusion desi food. The restaurant itself has an industrial chic design that lends itself to casual hipsteresque feel. I really enjoyed the food as it was neither too bland nor too spicy. I feel like they are doing justice to the core of desi food by keeping the masalas and using the appropriate techniques to keep the heat down while the flavors are not compromised. I have really enjoyed their Frankie sandwiches and stuffed omelets with paratha. For an extra flare on your fries sprinkle a bit of Gunpowder.
