When people say blue India or tabla are the best Indian restaurants in ATL they clearly haven’t been to Aamar. Best Indian food in ATL hands down, would recommend to anyone and everyone. 11/10
This place is more about food & taste and less about ambience. Half of their seating is in makeshift patio in the parking. Restrooms are also located in the parking. The food is quite tasty but it seems they do get flavors more by a hack rather than appropriately handling and cooking the ingredients. But they do give you the taste :). Given the ambience the place is little costlier than what it should be. Staff is very pleasant and helpful. Overall good experience.
This place is a must stop for Indian food. Flavorful food, good portions, and quickly got our meals. They have a small dining area with an additional side dining area. Very Very good for its value. We dug in too fast to take pictures. Lamb was tender, all the sauces flavorful. If you like spice get the hot or Very hot.
Amazing service and food! I cannot stress how much of a win stumbling upon this place was after the Falcon’s game. Buttered chicken was perfectly creamy, semi-sweet and spicy. We would come here again and again if we lived closer. This type of prompt and kind service is hard to come by. Wish I had more pictures of the food but we devoured it.
Great food! Had very low expectations when we walked in. For a group of 4 we ordered a reasonable amount of food but it was so good that we ended up ordering far more Will definitely come back! Both the vegetarian and non-vegetarian options were great. The food was brought out pretty quick as well!
The reception and service were satisfactory, but the food fell short of expectations. The so-called biryani was essentially fried rice overloaded with onions and scarcely any meat. The lamb dish we ordered was tough and difficult to chew. Additionally, they served our dine-in meal using to-go plates, boxes, and disposable cutlery. Even though we requested spicy food, it was bland and under-seasoned.
As a vegan traveler from New York City, I was thrilled to find Aamar Indian Cuisine in Atlanta! Vegan options here can be limited, but this restaurant had so many choices, and the manager went above and beyond to accommodate my dietary needs. He recommended three delicious dishes: Chaana Begoon, Shaag Bhaji, and Niramish, and ensured they were prepared with less oil, less salt, no dairy, and mild spice. Everything was flavorful and satisfying, and I felt completely at home thanks to the excellent service. If you’re vegan and looking for a place to dine in Atlanta, I highly recommend Aamar Indian Cuisine!
In visiting from out of state. Followed the aroma down the street from the hotel. Small quaint diner, well lit, and a convenient large menu before you enter. Server was very friendly, answered questions, made suggestions, and was just overall “on it”. If I could give the food a 6th star I would. The naan is perfect.
