I have been to The Trolly Stop Cafe here in downtown Dallas more than a few times and every time it meets my expectations! Food is yummy and the service is just as good! Hidden Gem! Daily specials. Breakfast and Lunch!! Definitely try their Philly cheesesteak!! It’s a must try! #SupportLocals
I walk past this everyday during the work on my way to work so I figured I would give it a shot since they post some delicious deals everyday. Little did I know their daily special is always the chicken fried steak sandwich which I would vouch for any meal! Not to mention for the price and the portion, it’s overly a great deal! It’s kind of hard to see if you’re not walking or on the trolley, but do give it a try!
Great diner like fare with proprietor taking orders and working the register. Excellent grilled ham and cheese sandwich ?! I want to come back to try the beef quesadillas - apparently the second most popular dish. Great atmosphere and super clean.
Found it a little tricky to find reasonably priced and legitimately local breakfast places in Dallas- the Trolley Stop Cafe was the one place I found that I would highlight. Good food, nice environment. Probably the best chicken biscuit I've had- ordered one and ended up going back for another. If you're looking for a good breakfast stop in Downtown Dallas, wholeheartedly recommend.
I was recommended this spot by one of my colleagues and gave it a shot! The Philly Cheesesteak is amazing! They have a diverse selection of items on their menu and the staff is extremely friendly.
Stopped in at 1PM on a Saturday so the place wasn't busy. The topping bar was only ketchup, mayo, mustard but it made sense since there were hardly any customers. Burgers were GOOD. The price was right, 11 bucks for a burger, fries, and a drink. Would definitely stop here again.
It’s all about expectations. When I walked into the cafe, it was busy but not crowded. For a small shop, and low budget furnishings, it looked clean and welcoming. The menu was broad, and me and my two friends reached ordered different items. I tried the cheeseburger. Fresh beef made all the difference. Another ordered the turkey wrap and they said it was excellent. I’ll be back.
We stopped here for breakfast, and it didn't disappoint. Everything was freshly made and tasted like a "home cooked" breakfast should. There is plenty of seating. Parking is a bit of a hassle (we aren't from here, so maybe there's a place to park we just don't know about). The hot chocolate came from a machine, but our kids loved it. We would definitely go back if we are ever in thebarea again!
