A halal certificate is clearly visible on the premises.. From the management: 'All ingredients in the restaurant are halal with the meat being zabiha halal.'
With a team of cooks born in Yemen, Sheeba looks to provide authentic Yemeni food all across the chicago area. Yemeni cuisine is distinct from the wider Middle Eastern cuisines but with a degree of regional variation. Some foreign influences are evident in regions of the country with Ottoman influences showing in the north and Mughlai Indian influence is evident in the southern areas around Ade, the Yemeni kitchen is based on similar foundations across the country with a hint of uniqueness to the preparation and flavor. Meats such as Lamb, chicken, and goat are a staple to the cultural cuisine in Yemen which is why at Sheeba we look to provide a wide variety of meat related food options.

Off the bone. The lamb meat just fell off the bone with a spoon. Incredibly tender and full of flavor. Haneeth, Kabsa, and don\\\'t forget an appetizer of lamb soup. Every was delicious, with large portions, and such courteous service. We\\\'ll be back soon!
Amazing place very clean, the food is very tasty and the service is excellent. Thanks Amira for your smile, and professional hospitality. It’s the best Yamani restaurant.
The mutton mandi dish I had was of exceptional quality, surpassing any I have tasted since arriving in the United States. I highly recommend it. The service provided by Amira was also commendable. I hope to find some Yemeni desserts on my next visit here.
The flavors are absolutely outstanding, and the mandi rice is cooked to perfection—aromatic, flavorful, and paired wonderfully with tender, juicy lamb or chicken. The portions are generous, ensuring you’ll leave completely satisfied. The restaurant has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home.
Taste same like Taza Bakery, since taza is my go to, this can also be. Lamb and chicken was juicy and completely cooked, highly recommended. We ordered kabsa chicken and haneeth lamb, both of them was to good, we also tried red velvet cake which was good. Parking was little difficult to find, but we did within 5 mins
I’ve visited Sheeba Mandi House many times with friends and always enjoyed the food, but my experience last night with my family was disappointing. We were served what seemed like day-old food, which affected our health. While the food is usually good, they must ensure fresh meals are served, especially when families with small children are involved. This practice needs to stop to maintain quality and trust.
I tried their falafel, and it was honestly the best I’ve had in a long time. Crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside, and paired with the freshest veggies and a creamy tahini sauce. It’s such a simple dish, but they absolutely nail it. Every bite was packed with flavor, and it didn’t feel greasy at all. If you’re a falafel fan, you’ve got to try this place.
This restaurant is absolutely amazing! The owner is incredibly friendly and always makes you feel right at home. The food? Simply fantastic every bite is a delight! I can’t recommend it enough to all my friends; they have to experience this place! Plus, the prices are super reasonable, making it the perfect spot for students in the community. You don’t want to miss out on this gem!
Excellent service. Excellent food. Pranavi offered great service and was a wonderful host. She has great customer service skills. If you come here to eat make sure to order Lamb Mandi and I hope you get to meet Pranavi. She is just ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!
