You couldn’t beat this sandwich with an open face club, it puts all other chicken to shame! Bojangles ain’t got shit on it! Add to that the great service and fire play list… mwah, chefs kiss!

Soooo good, Monroe’s never misses!!!!

So today I woke up, and I had a hankering for hot chicken. After googling and looking around, I found this place was downtown. I was a little hesitant because I hate to pay for parking but I ended up, finding out a cheat code for that which I will share later in the post. But yes, this place is worth checking out! Let me share my experience lol. So to start, I would like to say they have multiple levels of heat you can try on your sandwich or chicken. I went with hot which was in the middle. My sandwich came with fries and I asked for extra pickles because they said they made the pickles in house and I always like to have extra pickles anyways. By the way, you gotta get some of the cheese sauce and the hot sauce. They make their cheese sauce in house too! I was dipping my fries in the cheese sauce and then the hot sauce before eating them. So amazing lol. Now I’ve never had a chicken sandwich with coleslaw on it before, but I’m always a fan of venturing outside the box. First of all, I’m not gonna compare it to any other flavor and I’m just gonna tell you if you haven’t had a chicken sandwich w coleslaw on it… well you’re just missing out lol. Do yourself a favor and just try the sandwich. It was amazingly delicious, especially with their in-house pickles. Another thing that needs mentioned. I ended up getting a side of the cornbread mac & cheese. This stuff is downright legendary. Let’s pretend your grandma‘s mac & cheese was your favorite thing and you always coveted having it for Thanksgiving but then one year you smoked the ganja for the first time with your homies and now you went to grandma‘s Thanksgiving dinner right afterwards and you had grandma‘s mac & cheese for the first time (while being on the ganja) and also she added cornbread…. Bruhhhhh I was like “noooo”. And then I remembered this quote that said “the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh”. My grandma passed away last year. Bless her heart may she rest in peace. But this mac & cheese cornbread is so next level. Also, the manager ended up giving me a drink cup so I could try their organic sodas. I felt like all of them were pretty tasty as I sampled them quickly, but the pineapple cream soda really grabbed my attention. I used to live on Oahu in Hawaii and the Dole pineapple farms have this dessert with this soft serve vanilla ice cream and their Dole pineapple. This was like that in a cup. All in all this place was absolutely amazing and the crinkle cut fries which I didn’t really mention much but were also awesome. By the way… the cheat code for parking… So this place didn’t serve alcohol and I parked across the street at the underground parking garage and it goes right up to the bowling alley which I had a few drinks and they validated my parking for FREE!!! I was able to catch a soft buzz before I went over and and had my meal. The bowling alley was also epic, which I’ll mention in a separate review!

It was delicious!!! My friend and I are from Tucson and we traveled here to go to an event and we stopped by here and it was fantastic! The cornbread mac n' cheese was so creamy and nice! The chicken sandwich tasted fantastic! I want to drag my husband up here just to eat at this place!
