This restaurant is PHENOMENAL. My (Indian) family and I have been there 3 times whenever my brother is in town and EVERYTHING we’ve ordered has been excellent. This is coming from a moderately picky Indian family. The restaurant is beautiful, the food is insanely good and flavorful, and the service is great. The people are super kind. If you try this restaurant, you won’t regret it - I promise.
The best place! We have been coming here for years and years and the food does not disappoint. From the quality of food to the excellent customer service…absolutely the best.
Definitely Recommend!! Placed a catering order for an office Team lunch for over 30 attendees. Very Professional, flexible, quick turnaround , and excellent food! Great quality, good portion , well balanced spices!! Gobi Manchurian and Chicken Biryani were crowd pleasers and their Kale Pakoras are a must try.
This review is in regards to their To Good To Go offering that is $7.99 and advertised as $24 worth of food. This is not advertised as a meal for one person, it's sold as $24 worth of food for $7.99. For $22, just go to the all you can eat buffet. The retail price of the food on the app should be listed as $7 and they're selling it to you for $7.99. While the food is tasty, if you look at the picture attached, this is not worth $24 on any planet. I could have gone to Costco and gotten samples that amount to more food than what was in this offering. Had most. This was worth $5. I'm not sure where they get their $24 value for for some potatoes. Mixed vegetables, spinach, rice and a mini samosa. You're probably better off just going into the restaurant and ordering carryout or eating there instead of getting it from To Good To Go.
The food is delicious. We got lamb biriani, chicken 65 and Kale pakora. Everything was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. We have been coming here for years. It's a nice option in the southwest suburbs instead driving all the way to Devon.
The food is more of a family style setting. The service was stellar despite the long wait for our meal ( we did order a lot). The atmosphere is very low lighting, so if you’re hard of sight like my parents make sure your phone light is on hand. Over all great
First time here. Booked a reservation through OpenTable. We got seated pretty quickly which was good since the place was pretty empty. There was a 50th birthday party going on one end of the restaurant so a little loud in there. We ordered our drinks, I ordered a beer which took about 10 mins to arrive. My girlfriend ordered a mixed drink which took 20 mins. Kinda of odd there. No big deal though. So service was okay not great but not too bad and we knew what to expect. Chicken 65 was phenomenal. I would say the best chicken 65 I’ve had. The tandoori chicken was pretty good too. The chicken makhani was watery and very sweet. Garlic naan was great. For dessert we order gajjar halwa which was not good at all. I definitely want to give this spot another try and would definitely recommend the chicken 65.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Dessie Indian Restaurant, and I must say it was an outstanding experience. The food was exceptional, with fresh, high-quality meat and authentic flavors that truly delighted my palate. The atmosphere was inviting and warm, enhancing the overall dining experience. I am thoroughly impressed and would give Dessie a perfect 8-9 out of 10 for its food, ambiance, and service. Highly recommended for anyone craving top-notch Indian cuisine! Only issue is the total at the end which could be a bit pricey for people on a limited budget!
