Vasco's Peri Peri chicken and lamb are marinated for 24 hours and are cooked fresh, served fresh. Each plate and bowl that we fill, we ensure it's like our first. The colors and aromas, flavors, and spices are always at their best when they touch your table. Vasco's is a staple of modern Portuguese cuisine. Vasco's peri Peri offers variety of vegan and veg options.

Cut straight to the chase: the other peri peri restaurant they aspire to be is just better. The downside is that "the other" peri peri restaurant in Schaumburg isn't really to dine in, which this has. But the food here is not as good.
Great food, enjoyed it. They do take their time though. Staff is nice and pleasant. Went their for iftar and was not as packed as other restaurants which was helpful in making a decision to eat there. Spicy really means so be careful
Their staff is always changing but their chicken is always the best. I truly love Peri Peri. Ive had mistakes in my order in the past which they always accommodate. I come once a month! PS extra hot is truly very hot so beware!
Disappointed for multiple reasons. Ordered 4 entrees and far less food showed up than expected. 1/4 Chicken breast and leg came out with a completely burnt leg. The breast was decent but the cuts down to the bone released all the juices while cooking. The quantity of meat in the 7 tender meal was less than one chicken breast. The food tasted decent. But the thing that drops my score to a 1 started off with a sign that read: \"Please do not pray in the front of the restaurant. Please pray in the alley and ask for details.\" It was Maghrib, so I asked if I go through the building or around. The owner asked me to go out from the front and take two lefts to the alley and he would have prayer rugs for us. I thought, \"cool\" until I started smelling the nasty sewage and garbage and grease traps in that alley. It was terrible. For a Halal restaurant to ask its patrons to pray next to the dumpster among the literal trash is disgraceful and condescending.
Chicken was not cooked .. when we complained he took it from the plate and put it on the grill.. burned the outside of the chicken and returned it. Was still uncooked. I have pictures of this gross chicken if anyone needs proof.
Extremely horrible and rude service never get your order right and when make mistake they don\'t even apologize managers don\'t give a crap either place is run by shitty people it\'s called Portos chicken and ran out chicken! WTH cause some one place catering order incredibly unprofessional save your time and money and go somewhere else
Horrible customer service. First time i went had to wait 50min for my order, called today was on hold for over 8min.
I\'ve been here with my family on multiple occasions. The peri peri chicken is always delicious and juicy. The sauces are plentiful, I find even medium heat to be pretty spicy and almost overpowering on the tastebuds so be warned. They could probably improve around the cleanliness but generally the food is solid for a fast-casual restaurant.
A Nando's alternative, Porto's is doing a wonderful job serving grilled peri peri chicken, which in fact is getting quite popular. Everything here is fresh and made to order. They first marinate the chicken for 24 hours, steam it and then grilled to perfection. The food actually came earlier than we expected. But that was probably because we came in early and the restaurant wasn't busy. We ordered the Family Platter (with two whole chicken) and it was packed with flavor. Served with a variety of spice options, you can make your food little to very spicy. We choose the "medium" and trust me it's spicy. Anything above, you will burst into tears. The restaurant is clean and spacious, with modern brick walls and art. It can accommodate big families with children or your traditional parties of two or four. The best thing was their garlic sauce. It was delicious and addictive.
Excellent food, nice functional decor...might have to wait at busy times
Good food awesome taste, went three times already last month, will go again and again IA
I tried this place on a Saturday night at prime time dinner time were a party of 5 people. We were lucky enough to catch a table right away. After placing the order, it took about 17-20 min to receive our food. I personally did not mind the wait. You have to keep in mind, this if freshly prepared food. Not fast food or premade food that is usually faster. In any case, the food was good. I personally like my chicken well done with a little more char, so next time I will be sure to say that when I order. I had a good experience with the staff and thought they were friendly.
Great food, best tasting chicken in the Chicagoland area. Unfortunately poor service offsets the food quality. I may try this place again, hopefully they will have their house in order.
Delicious chicken, and we'll worth the hype. There's a reason this is the hottest Halal place right now, just a couple weeks after they opened. I'd suggest you wait a bit, for them to get the operation running smoothly; clean bathrooms, attentive service, tightening up the menu descriptions, etc. We'll definitely be going back!
Newly certified by Halal Advocates, this is the hottest halal restaurant in Chicago right now. They only serve chicken and its unreal mA. You get to choose between 5 different spice flavors plus plain. Great service, nice decor and amazing food. You can't go wrong.
The food was absolutely incredible! So close to home and so many different options! Extremely healthy! We came after a hockey game and had the best experience!
Ordered the chicken and rice bowl, fries and a 4 piece tender. Chicken was dry and tasted ok. Kind of pricey for what you get.
This is one of the best restaurants that cooks chicken in a truly wonderful way. We really enjoyed our dinner there.
Vasco’s Peri Peri is legit. The chicken was juicy, the sauces slap, and the sides were way better than expected. Fast service, fair prices, and super flavorful food. Will 100% go back
My hubby and I talked to the Franchise owner. A very lively, excited business owner sharing a tv show the restaurant appeared on recently. He also explained the food concept. I have never eaten peri peri food. He also shared their charitable contributions they donate to. It was fun to talk with him! We also got to try a few of the hot sauces. All of the food we ordered was delicious! The chicken is juicy and seasoned well. The food is fresh. Order at the counter. The decor is simple. There was a constant stream of customers on a Monday night. I highly recommend this restaurant.
