Seeing a lot of bad reviews and that was not our experience at all! We tried the beef birria and consomé, it was flavorful and tender. Did not hurt the wallet either!

oh my gawwwwsh. i almost want to move back to socal (*almost*) just for this spot! located in santa ana attached to a sleek chevron station is this taco spot. on the weekend they have this pop up bbq menu that they serve on the side window but you can sit outside or inside after getting your food. we came for the tacos but wanna come back to try those lamb ribs on the weekend menu. my mom and i can’t stop raving about the birria tacos to our family. they’re not joking about the slow cooking 16 hours part. we got the OG plate and an extra birria taco for me. i also got the pineapple drink and it had little tiny pieces of pineapple on the bottom, yum. we ended up devouring the plate together and ordering two more birria tacos for dessert lol. the mulita was our favorite set-up of tortilla, meat, flavor, and cheese. that’s what the OG plate is, 4 different fonts of the same formula. i literally drank the rest of the consumeh. i imagine their ramen is delicious because the broth is not just the leftover drippings, there’s effort and time put into it. there was no room left to try the churros so we’ll just haaaave to come back. place is super clean and big windows to let in plenty of sunlight. the larger tables could probably seat a party of 8 or party of 10 people. easy street parking or in the lot of gas station if you’re also filling up or getting a car wash.

Rich Smokey flavorful burrito (pollo asado) at a good price. I could only eat half as it’s very filling. Also halal!!

Great halal Mexican fast food restaurant attached to the gas station. The food is good and the service also is amazing. Shout out to Rodrigo who manning the front order line. He was very polite and went beyond to help us and explain to us about each item being offered in the menu

These bros are legit!!! I travel all over the country and am a huge fan of tacos, birria, churros and other mexican foods. Food was fresh, done right and tastes great. Was visiting family while in California and came across this joint, now it will be a regular stop of mine, might even be a good reason to visit family more often. The STEAK TACOS in my opinion were some of the best I have had anywhere. HIGHLY recommend!!!!!

Omg! This place is the BOMB! Seriously, some of the best halal tacos I've ever had! The menu is simple, but every topping is delicious—whether in a taco or any other option, you can't go wrong. The spot is clean and spacious, with fast and friendly service. And their homemade churros? A must-try—absolutely delicious. I'll definitely be coming back!

This was my second time here as my little wanted to try a place I thought well of. The property is shared with a gas station, which is next door, and the pumps are in front of both businesses, so there is not much in the way of parking. The inside is a bit sparce as far as decor goes, but there is seating both for 2, 4, and 8 to 10 people. This, however, is not the reason to go to Papi's. The draw is the tacos and burritos. While I have not yet taken the opportunity to try one of these big burritos, i have had the tacos, and they are delicious. Now, there are three types of protein to order from. They are Carne Asada, Pollo Asado, and Beef Birria. Now I luv steak as much as the next guy and chicken tacos, especially Pollo Asado tacos, but the real draw here is the Beef Birria. It is just done right and super tasty. Being born and raised in SoCal, I like hot sauce, and I'm not talking the stuff they keep out for the gringos, bit the real hot sauce that has both spice and flavor and they certainly have that at Papi's. If your looking for a new place to try some excellent tacos then Papi's Tacos and Churros should be your next stop. Enjoy!
