Glasgow Residential Restaurant – A Warm and Varied All-You-Can-Eat Experience at UCR While visiting the University of California, Riverside (UCR) campus, I stopped by the Glasgow Residential Restaurant, a popular dining hall recommended by a friend. Conveniently located near the Engineering Building (Winston Chung Hall) and nestled in the heart of the student residence area, it's an easy walk for anyone exploring campus. As a guest, I was welcomed warmly by the staff, who charged $17 for a full lunch—a fair price for the all-you-can-eat (AYCE) experience. The space is spread across two levels, with different food offerings on each floor. On the first floor, you’ll find: A salad bar with a wide range of fresh veggies and even a vegan sandwich option. A grill station offering basics like grilled chicken and corn. A dessert bar with cookies, muffins, pastries, and a standout s’mores crispy treat that quickly became my favorite. A self-serve soft-serve machine with flavors like vanilla, pineapple, and strawberry. A drink station with a variety of fountain drink options. The second floor offers a broader selection, including: Pizza, pasta, carnitas, cooked vegetables, and other hot entrées. Spacious seating and large windows with a nice view, making it an ideal spot for longer, more relaxed meals. What really makes Glasgow shine is its AYCE model paired with a casual, friendly atmosphere—perfect for lingering over lunch with friends. It’s not just a student staple, but also a great on-campus dining option for visitors.

ur here for one of two reasons, you have no choice or u can’t cook a cup of ramen. if u want better food, go to lothian, if u want more options and better desert, go to glasgow, if u want something to look forward to, make it yourself, or wait when they have pasta for dinner. also 5 stars for service cause the staff deserve it for workin/sufferin there

If you are a Chinese international student, then I do not recommend you to eat here. My senior sister has warned you.

I love Glasgow. It's a pretty fancy dining hall. You pay to enter and it's all you can eat from there. There are many food stations with a very varied selection of dishes of different cuisines. Good vegetarian options, gluten free options and even vegan. They have everything from soups to desserts. The atmosphere is very modern and nice to hangout. Highly recommend although I wish it was cheaper.
