The Tree House has been operating in it's current form as a full service restaurant and coffee bar/deli since 1996. We are passionate about serving delicious, wholesome food prepared from scratch. Our cafe is located in the heritage cottage next to Mouat's in the heart of Ganges village on beautiful Salt Spring Island. The building itself was built in the 1920s and has a long and diverse history which includes being the site of the first electrical generating station on the island and later as a home for one of the Mouat family's favorite aunts, Margaret. It's even been a smoke house, crystal shop and music school.

Cute little place with delicious food! It was much smaller than expected. Need to exit and re-enter the restaurant to use their one single toilet. The food and service was fantastic and I loved her drink recommendation (mama shot? I can’t remember what it’s called). Lovely place to eat! We were skeptical about seeing Thai green curry on the menu (we lived in Thailand for over 20 years) but it was truly authentic and delicious. The rice would’ve been better placed separately and not in the curry but not a major concern!
