They have been keeping the food quality, quantity consistently great, and their staffs are very good. - The grilled chicken salad is my favorite one - Their chicken platter is also good, so much food plus enough French fries to fill another tummy ;) - I tried their grilled chicken sandwich/burgher as well, very big portion for the price. Finally I like to go their again and as long as they provide quality food with welcoming staff, I'll go their.
last time i had halal munchies was in 2023 and before that 2022. quality did unfortunately go lower but it was great nonetheless. it was too much onion in the salad and not as much fries and chicken like they use to.
Love the food, huge portion with great quality. White sauce and fries over the platters are amazing! My new fav to go place!
Fish over rice is absolutely bomb fried nice, good flavor, and the green + white sauce tops it perfectly. The Khulfi is 10/10 also esp Almond n Milk flavor. Fire spot definitely would recommend coming through, you won’t stop lmao
- A puddle of water on the salad which I didn’t realize until I mixed in the watery salad onto my Mix over rice since all that water was in the bottom. - Too much powder sprinkled on the rice. - Not enough sauce - Waited a while to get my food, and someone who came way after me and ordered somehow got food a bit before me. (From a 2 Stars to 1 Stars.) UNACCEPTABLE AND UNFAIR WAITING TIMES FOR ME. ——- Unfortunately, when food places start branching out new locations, they tend to lower in quality and not taste as good as the original location. Halal munchies is no exception. I had Halal Munchies in their Astoria location last year and remembered their mix over rice tasted much better than the glob I was given here. I think I would have been better off eating from a halal cart. Like the food wasn’t completely inedible, it was alright, but the quality control just isn’t there. Service was terrible.
The platters taste good but are half portions with a load of fries and salad, the other half is just two spoons of rice. Also found plastic in my salad.
Huge W for staying open late, went to 2 places before this claiming to be open but they weren’t. The food is actually really good too, I definitely recommend it.
I ordered a combo plater, and when I opened the box, I was surprised by small portions. Could literally count how many meat pieces were there. On top of it, they fried the cold fries again in front of me and served me. I got heartburn after eating this crap. I go to Halal munchies in Queens Village 2-3 times a week, and they never disappointed me. The owner of this Brooklyn location is so freaking greedy that he charges 4% extra if you pay by card. You shouldn't be doing business if you can't pay for a credit card processing fee period.
