I was extremely disappointed with my recent takeout order from the Tysons location of Halal Hunan Village. While I frequently enjoy the buffet at their Falls Church location, this experience was notably different and below expectations. I have been to the Tyson's location since it opened during the pandemic. The food quality on this order was unacceptable. The soup had an off-putting bitter taste and looked like Jell-O, the Hunan beef seemed old and lacked freshness (like wholesale discount meat), and the fried rice was very dry. The wings were bland and appeared to have been held under a heat lamp for an extended period, resulting in a tough texture. Overall, the meal did not reflect the quality I have come to expect from this brand. Given the contrast with previous visits to their Falls Church buffet, this was extremely disappointing. I hope the management addresses these inconsistencies, but based on this experience, I would hesitate to recommend this Tysons location. I’d recommend going to the café spot across Route 7 on Tyco instead — the quality and service are much better there. Alternatively, you could try the buffet location. I'd give no/zero stars if I could.
