GoogleI purchased chicken from this place for the first time in good faith, 3 x various marinated chicken breast for £10. Ordered online and collected in store. The order was placed on 4th Jan 26 and collected couple of days later. I cooked the chicken as I would have done normally in a Ninja air fryer. Once cooking time completed I found the texture of the chicken looking quite odd. Upon trying to eat the chicken it was literally like rubber. My husband also said the same thing. Thinking it was a one off , I then tried cooking the remaining chicken and exactly the same thing which put me off from trying the rest. I have taken a picture of the chicken purchased from this company after it was cooked and the second picture of chicken cooked in exact same way in the same air fryer from Tesco supermarket. You can see the first image actually has the appearance of rubber and the second one looks fine. I then researched this and realised it was something called ‘Woody breast’ - hardened fibres. I was absolutely repulsed by this and had to last minute find alternative sources. I then made a complaint verbally and in writing. This company is shocking. I was told I’d be refunded £10 which I said was not acceptable and that we should be compensated. The offer was 15% based on us spending even more money with them!!!! I was offered a fake apology and I explained my disgust with how they handled the complaint. I will never purchase from this company again and advise caution to others.
