We were craving for good desi karahi and decided to go to Butt Karahi over the weekend and it absolutely exceeded out expectation. The standout dish for us was the Chicken Tikka Karahi — honestly one of the best we’ve had in Canada. We asked for it spicy, and they did it perfectly. Instead of just loading it with red chili powder, they used finely chopped green chilies which gave it such a fresh, balanced heat and amazing flavour. We also tried the Kebab Karahi, Biryani, Fried Fish, and Til Wale Naan. Everything was genuinely good, but those fluffy, fresh naan paired with the karahi were next level. What also stood out was the overall experience. The service was great, the ambience was comfortable, parking was easy, and the staff managed expectations really well. They told us upfront the food would take around 40–45 minutes, and it actually arrived in less than 40 minutes. Small thing, but it makes a big difference when restaurants communicate honestly and deliver properly. On top of that, the value for money was excellent. At a similar restaurant, this meal would’ve easily cost us at least $20 more. Great food, great service, great experience overall. Definitely a 5-star visit and we’ll for sure be back for that amazing tikka karahi and trying their other dishes.
