This place was similar to other places I have been to where you build your own bowls. It was good but pricey. It was nice to try something different. They had a variety of different meat and vegan options. The sauces were tasty and the choices were definitely a nice addition to the flavors in the toppings and the meat. I don’t know if I would go back only because there are less expensive similar options elsewhere.
Usually pretty reliably cheap and friendly staff but I unfortunately got food poisoning after my last visit and won’t be returning. I’m pretty sure it was the lettuce as my friend got her bowl without lettuce and was fine.
The food is amazing but seriously for the price you can definitely do better with the portion $40 for two bowls nothin extra mind you ?!
Jerk chicken bowl was very tasty! Chicken was tender and nicely spiced and the ingredients were fresh!
The food here is excellent—great taste at a reasonable price. However, the service could use improvement. Despite having plenty of staff, the restaurant wasn't very busy, yet the eating area was messy. When I asked questions about the dishes, one of the staff members seemed irritated, rolling her eyes and responding with, "Well, do you want it or not?"
Very yummy and delicious and MUCH more superior to the big chain competitor. The jerk chicken is a must try, and the habanero sauce is actually spicy! A bit pricey though.
My daughter raved about this place because her and her friends have gone before. She asked for rice and the guy instead of asking the kitchen for more rice he scrapped the bottom of the bowl and split what should have been enough rice for 1 taco for both! I pointed it out to him and he still didn't respond! So I noticed with every order before and after he did the same thing! Hardly anything in the wrap and/or the taco. A young lady ordered more after observing that her shared tacos weren't enough to share. we went to the Flatbush one. I'll try one of the others then review again.
Have gotten food nearly 10-15 times at this Brooklyn Location. Got veggie bowls every time and they continue to change the prices. The included options in a veggie bowl include Guacamole, beans, rice, and toppings of choice. However, at least 10 out of those visits, they tell me to pay extra if I want to get guacamole or any of those toppings. In addition, the prices continue to fluctuate based on who is working at the restaurant. This recent time I got a bowl, I asked for a little extra rice and beans as I didn’t opt for meat, and they stopped me from putting jalapenos and tortilla chips as they claim I went above my limit. I have never had a problem with that.
