The food was a great disappointment. Whilst the service was good and welcoming. The repeated charges for every minor change (pasta shape, size, £1 charge for parmesan on top even!) came at a suprise from what felt like a quick and simple fast food take on pasta. The food itself was really unenjoyable with the Ragu being really sour, presumably from cheap tomatoes and the other items left my party feeling quite sickly and just unwell after. Despite all of us getting the "normal" doneness level it still felt undercooked and too firm. Maybe it is normal to those in Italy which I believe is fair but this place has many awards plastered around and is in the centre of London, I don't feel like it is very suited to the locals despite there being many Italian restaurants within a 15-20 minute commute. I know the food is made to order, as can be seen from the front entrance but it still arrived at our table being lukewarm at best. It was honestly very unenjoyable. Even with my party having a 10% discount due to NHS/ student discount, the many surprise charges was further bumped up by a 12.5% service charge that meant the food was a lot more expensive than we set out to understand looking at the base prices on the menu. Would not recommend, would never return. Overall a very poor experience
