GoogleDoes the price match the sandwich? I went to MLK on the weekend and it was quite busy but don't stress they pump the food out. I ordered the deli sambo with mortadella, Wagyu salami, and turkey ham. They were very generous with the meat, but the meats themselves were good, not great. With a triple meat sandwich, you usually need one hero, and it’s almost always the salami. It should have that spicy, peppery punch that cuts through everything else, but this one was a bit bland and ended up feeling lacklustre. The meat to cheese ratio was also off. There was only one thin slice of cheese, which didn’t really hold everything together or balance the sandwich properly. It came with quality olives and roasted capicum, plus a tomato relish that had real potential. If it had just a bit more heat, it would’ve been epic but as it was you could barely taste it. I swapped the usual ciabatta for focaccia. Fresh, soft, and genuinely very good. The other sandwich we got was the risky brisket, and this was the standout. The brisket was top quality and came with Russian slaw and a tangy mayo dressing. If you like Reuben style sandwiches, this is a must try. Everything worked together and it delivered on flavour. One thing that really irks with sambo places in the city is charging twenty bucks for a micro sandwich and you walk out still hungry. That’s not the case here. The sandwiches are big and genuinely filling, which is a big plus. Ratings Risky brisket: 4 out of 5 Deli sambo: 3 out of 5

GoogleExcellent spot for well-made sandwiches with high-quality ingredients. We tried The Risky Brisket and the Special on focaccia (recommended by Myra) and both were amazing, great flavour balance and very generous portions. The brisket was juicy and full of flavour, and the focaccia really takes the Special to another level. The coffee was excellent, and the lemon dessert was fresh and delicious. Shoutout to Myra for her 10/10 service ,friendly, attentive and with great recommendations.

GoogleGot the risky brisket and the deli Sando and was pleasantly shocked. The quality of ingredients absolutely blew me away. Each ingredient can individually be be identified with every bite. Arguable the first deli sandwich I’ve had which didn’t need any sauce.

GoogleRecommended on the whole. House smoked brisket hit the spot, bread was a touch dense/tough for my tastes (even compared to a bagel - perhaps a thickness difference?), hash brown and the hash brown sauce were amazing (Happy Haberfield level imo), milk coffee was mid. Service was friendly and the vibe was good. Would come back.
