This outlet of Ogalo is certified Halal by AFIC. The Ogalo story started with an idea to provide Australians with a home style taste that gave every meal its own character - without compromising on our delicious and healthy quality. The Portuguese are renowned for their wholesome style of barbequeing marinated chickens on a healthy grill, cooking in the natural flavors without the fat and creating a tasty meal that the whole family can enjoy. The Portuguese explorers who preceded the colonization of Africa were introduced to the African bird eye chili and thus began the culinary journey to mainland Europe. This is where the so-called 'Piri-Piriı chili sauce concept was combined with local Portuguese cooking and produce.

Good place . Workers can be more friendly.
First time buying food from any Ogalo. I bought the chicken fillets just on their own. I was very happy with the food. The chicken fillets were thinly cut and very lightly crumbed and cooked just right and taste was pretty good. I will go back and try more of the menu. Only complaint was staff was not that friendly. A nice smile and a hello and thank you and have a good day go a long way. Store was clean and presentable.
I wish I could be able to give zero star. I got food poisoned after I bought and eaten half chicken. The chicken was full of oil and was dripping in the box . Look like they grill first and when is sold they re cook in the oil … and I did not ordered any sauce. It was just bad fried oil! this shop should be close ! I was sick for one day. No more food from this shop. I had my take away chicken around 8.45 pm Liverpool Street, Sydney2000
Had the worst burger in ages. I was super hungry walking past Liverpool Street and thought I’d grab something from Ogalo. Big mistake. The burger was drowning in sauce but barely had any chicken. Coz they used to have double fillet! Worst part? The chicken was burnt, so every bite left this horrible burnt taste in my mouth. The guy cooking at 1:30 AM Saturday clearly had no idea how to make a decent burger. Really disappointing, especially since I’ve had good food from them before
After at least a year since I had purchased any product from Ogalo, I am disappointed that once again I have caused to complain. I attended your Liverpool St store today at 1.36pm and purchased a BBQ roll meal (Check number 189). The chicken was hard and by no means fresh and the bread roll was so stale and old, it had to be microwaved to loosen up but then when I ate it, the roll basically disintegrated. It did not hold its structure and it most certainly was not soft. Noting the last complaint was not dealt with to my satisfaction, what is Ogalo now going to do about this matter? In my view, unless I get an adequate response and action from this, I will have no choice but to inform the relevant health authorities. It is up to you of course, it's your business and brand name continuing to be destroyed by this franchisee. Thanks Adam Lysle
Not a regular at fast food joints, but this place stood out as having great customer service. The burgers are ok, what you'd expect from fast food, but it's still a decent late night feed. Have had the fish burger and vegetarian burger. Both good, but needs a spicy mayo to bring it up a notch.
Ordered a chicken burger combo. The filling in the burger is too little for the cost. The chicken layer is very thin and doesn't taste like chicken at all. The potato chips were too salty (see the pic) and oily too. Food quality isn't good. Won't recommend. The stuff isn't friendly (they don't smile). The place isn't clean. My table has a human hair and some breadcrumbs or something (see the pic). I’m still drinking water because of that “Halal” meal. So bad!
Ordered jumbo spicy chicken burger set on deliveroo. It was really big and I'm so satisfied with the size of chicken(got three pieces), however it would be excellent if spices added to the chicken! Worth the money
It was pretty average. We tried chicken burgers and a halloumi wrap. The salad in the wrap had very little, and the potato fries had a slight aftertaste, possibly because they were pre-fried, not freshly fried. The table service was a bit clumsy.
