Stopped by Champion Polo Bun after hearing all the buzz and it definitely delivers if you are a fan of Hong Kong style bakery snacks done fresh. The star of the show is obviously the polo bun. It arrives warm with that signature golden crust on top that is crisp, crumbly and lightly sweet. Bite into it and the inside is soft, fluffy and buttery, which creates that classic contrast that polo bun lovers are always chasing. The shop itself is small and casual, with a steady flow of people popping in for a quick snack or takeaway box. Seating can be a little tight during peak hours but the turnover is quick so it usually moves along. Love the three storey design and also including a very cosy third level as well. Simple menu, well executed classics and very satisfying if you are craving a good polo bun in the Tanjong Pagar area. Definitely worth the stop.
