Great food, ample space
I wish they didn't change the cuts of chicken it used to be chunks of beautiful juicy butter chicken but last few times it has been thin strips that definitely does not hold the flavourful sauce as well sadly will miss this place but the thin chicken pieces a deal breaker for me. Do still love the lamb vindaloo so will be switching my order to that but bring back chunky chicken please ? ? ♡
Delicious food, warm and inviting atmosphere, amazing service. Fantastic prices for homemade comfort food. Always piping hot, made fresh to order, fast and personable service. I would've taken a picture, but I ate it all. Every time I order from Ashoka Grill, I get excited about trying new dishes, and I can't wait to order from them again. I wish Google had more than five stars. Ashoka Grill deserves more than 5.

The staff is friendly and welcoming. The offer water while you wait for your order.

I moved away from NYC, and the thing I miss about it the most is Ashoka Grill. I used to order their chicken curry all the time, and if they delivered to where I am now, I would order it still. I have not found a place as good near me!
This place is amazing. My family and I LOVE ordering from here. We usually opt for delivery (only because we found them on seamless first) but the staff is always so nice and accommodating. The food is always so flavorful. Our favorites are the samosas and Onion Bhujia along with any chicken dish.
Really good food! Daughter lives in neighborhood we always order and pick up when visiting. Naan is soft and tender. The Paneers are great. Actually everything is wonderful! Portions are large. Always enough for leftovers, which we love. The people are always so nice. Thank you for such great food.
Understaffed, but the waiter was very nice in welcoming us. Food was pretty good, I would have enjoyed it more if I had more time to stay. Gave free dessert (rice pudding with coconut) at the end which was a plus! Prices weren't too bad. Would definitely come here again.
The food was excellent. I called in my order for pickup and was told it would be ready in about 15 min. I was on my way there and was close so I arrived about 6 or 7 minutes later and the guy who'd taken my order hadn't yet submitted it to the kitchen. That's the only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5. Also a bit cheap on the papadam order.
Worst Indian restaurant ever!! Today 7/9 was my first visit there as i recently moved a week ago n the door was always locked but it was open tdy n I went in. I was hesitant to go inside as the doors were open only 3 tables in the front n then they blocked off with chairs bikes etc looks like some kind of storage room. Very dirty n smelly. I thought maybe the food will be amazing so I can overlook all this. While sitting there few door dash n delivery guys will come in n stand nxt to my table to pick up their orders. It wasn’t fine dining by any means. I am an Indian woman who herself is a great cook but always eager to try out. I ordered paneer makhni & onion kulcha. There is a 80 year old man who looks like to do the waiter, cashier & serving food. It takes him forever to go from one corner to another. I was starving n waiting for food & the only customer there still took them one hour to prep. One bite of food it was disgusting. Tasted like I am eating a dessert . No spice ratio. I left most curry n rice. It was not edible. Any Indian will know what authentic Indian food is. I need to warn Indians not to try their food as it’s flavorless n tasteless. American customers who try first time may not know. I know lot of Americans who knows how it tastes. This is not worth trying. The 80 year old man I talked about he has a lot of attitude. I told him that so much food is left as I didn’t like a bit even I was starving. One bite of that food & l lost my appetite. Then comes cherry on the cake. Bill was $20.31. On the menu he gave me the dish paneer makhni was $11.95 n was charged $12.95. When I asked him why he says it’s the old menu so I said you should tell me n inform me that the price is higher. Then it says on the bill charge $3. I questioned him what’s that for?? I was told that’s the table charge as I sat in the terrible heat n sweating n mopads n delivery guys are inches away from me. I thought he will be courteous to apologize for any inconvenience. Not so!!! He was actually very rude and wanted the tip. I thought he must be dreaming. I walked away hungry & picked up some Chinese food to change the disgusting taste of my mouth. Eat at your own risk @Ashoka you have been warned!!! Extremely unhappy customer
