About Fresh Med

It's more than just gyros at Fresh Med in Cleveland Park. The unassuming storefront doesn't do justice to the spacious and modern cafe inside. There are plenty of vegetarian pita options here and although the food is served quick, the place provides a full dining experience with several platter items available from the grill. The menu is exclusively Mediterranean, and they have a small retail section with staples like couscous, tahini and falafel mix for sale so you can live the Fresh Med life at home. Daily lunch specials until 4 p.m. make this already affordable restaurant even more enticing.

Located in Cleveland Park next to a Hotel I was at for a conference. Make sure you check and double check if this place serves Halal meat. I wasn't completely satisfied with the answer I got, so I ordered a Falafel sandwich. I will probably not return.

I love Fresh Med. I know the full menu is not halal but the lamb gyro is halal and that is what I order. The juicy meat comes fresh within minutes and is always a delight to have while in the C-Park area.

I had the lamb gyro - very good! Nice part of town (very close to metro).

As of june 08, they did not have halal chicken but offered a cleaned up grill if i wanted lamb or beef. The food is nice and reasonably priced considering the place is in a relatively expensive area. They also deliver oran $10.ders more th

A very good halal restaurant near Cleveland Park metro in DC. Serves fairly standard food, but at very low prices, so you can sample multiple things if you like. They have a number of vegetarian options, and serve halal beef and lamb (as of November 2007, they did not have halal chicken yet).
