Been a regular here for many years. The food has always been good. When it's cold out my family like to have the chicken noodle soup which is only available on the weekends. A bowl of that is a meal on its own. As others have mentioned the server can be a little off putting if new to them but we've known him a long time and just laugh him off. I don't think he's trying to be rude.

I had 'Udang Masak Merah' for dinner last night. It is a homemade red sauce with with with vegetables and shrimp served with rice. I enjoyed the meal and completely ate up the entire, very large serving. The restaurant is clean but not sophisticated and the server was extremely friendly though he was busy with other customers too. I did hear the patron at the table next to mine ask for sodas and he told them that they should help themselves at the refrigerator.

The food is delicious. Some Thai and Chinese style dishes along with some indian and Burmese dishes. We never had any issues with any waiter. In fact, we order at the counter and they bring the food to you.

Food was good, but the waiter has no manners. He seemed very egoistic and rude. What is the purpose if the food is good but the service is poor. It spoils the entire dining experience.

Let me start off by saying that I have been going to this restaurant since it first opened and every time I go I get the WORSE treatment from the waiter there. The only reason I even go to this restaurant is because the food is good; however, I went yesterday and the waiter was rudely talking to my whole family. When we asked for water, the waiter said "just get it yourself." I also ordered their fried chicken afterwards and the waiter again rudely said "can't you order beforehand." I go all around the southbay area but never have I had this kind of horrible experience. If you're a waiter at a restaurant at least know how to treat your customers or don't be a waiter. I'm not stingy about my service so I never write reviews on service but enough was enough. That was the last time I am stepping foot in that restaurant.

This place is a family favorite. Fresh ingredients, honest and friendly owners, authentic flavors. We especially enjoy the Burmese specialties. The only setbacks are the location and the less than comfortable seating. Not enough setbacks to keep us from going at least once every couple of months, though.

Assalamualaikum brothers and sisters, Wow! The food was exceptionally good and the server was very friendly & knowledgeable. Ordered the Mee Hoon (Thin Noodle) Goreng and Nasi (Rice) Goreng with chicken and shrimp. Really, enjoyed it as the server was nice enough to ask us how spicy we wanted our food to be. Tantalizing flavors and amazing taste. Yeah, the restaurant is up in da cuts but you should be fine if you 're with people. We also ordered food to go. Got the Murtabak (Chicken), Beef Mesak (Dry Curry), Chicken Yellow curry and Sambal Kang Kong. To top it off, the prices were great and hearty quantities were delivered. For those looking to add some spice to your life.....look no further. Mutiara FTW. KH a355725 :)

Great food. Bad neighborhood. I will come here definitely whenever i am back in LA. I recommend coming here on lunch as at night, everything around was closed and i saw couple of drug dealers roaming around. Food was also super cheap.

Took visiting family yesturday evening. Everyone enjoyed the food. Yep, even the kids loved it. Great service with a smile and everything was fresh. Note* If your "behind" hurts from sitting on hard surfaces then i suggest bringing a cushion because the chair seats are made of marble. Restaurant is on a main road, close to the Inglewood Mosque.

Great food at unbelievably low prices! My wife and I were initially reluctant to try this place out since we weren't sure what Malay food would taste like; fearing it may not satisfy our taste buds, that are so very used to spicey desi food....boy were we wrong. The owners of this place have extensively traveled and have been in business for over ten years. These guys customize the entrees to your taste and do a great job recommending entrees to your liking. Absolutely loved this place...to the extent that I returned the very next day to check out other items on their menu. These guys were featured in LA Times back in 2008 so you know you can't go wrong. Oh btw, they serve huge portions so don't be surprised if after filling yourself up, you still end up taking some home. Would absolutely recommend their Mutiara rice, honey chicken (especially the sauce) and their seafood items.

I went to this restaurant today with my family for the first time. It seems a bit intimidating because of the area its in but once you go inside it has a nice ambience. The brothers were very kind and respectful. I saw the menu and ordered a number of things because the prices were about half of what other halal places would be that Ive been to for the same stuff. Example.. Chicken biryani was like 6 dollars a plate. Needless to say i expected that quality and quantity would suffer at that low of a price but oh Allah was I wrong. The naan was the best ive tasted and the biryani was great. THe kabobs were spiced almost to perfection for the beef kabobs. They had a variety of drinks to choose from and in the end after ordering a good amount of food for myself and my family of 6 and drinks... total was only 51.75? Goodness I've paid double that for half the food and far less quality. Great place and good food for very very reasonable price. Brothers are more than kind and hospitable. I recommend it to anyone.. single or friends or family. May Allah grant their business a long life.

The owner used to live in Malaysia & son married to a Malay so the food is quite good for Malay tastes. Quite reasonably priced & saw other Malays regularly eating there. Not open on Mondays. Note that as far as I could tell the market is just some spices and whatnot and not halal meat, but I could be wrong.

My family together with some of my daughter's friends stopped by this restaurant on our way to LAX. I was curios to note that people from Burma was offering 'Malay' dishes. I met and spoke with the Burmese owner and was pleasantly surprised to know that he had lived in Malaysia for some time. Thus explaining how Malay food is availble there. The entire group was mesmerised by the authenticity of the 'Malay' dishes and the price was truly down to earth. We practically wiped clean all the plates because of the great tasting food.

I had a very good experience at ths restaurant. Not only that the food was great but the staff was very polite and humble. The owner is an Aalim (scholar) graduated from Burma. The food was definetly authentic Burma & Malaysian style. It was even served in traditional dishes. Food was great, seating was nice (not fancy or fine dinning), prices were very reasonable. I will definetly be visiting them again while I am here in LA.

My family and I have just visited this nice restaurant and got the chance to chat with the owner and his wife. The owner is an Imam in the area, al-Hafiz i.e. person who has completely memorized the Qur'an and also teaches/trains others to be al-Hafiz, subhanallah! The menu is wonderful - they offer excellent Malay, Burmese and Thai cuisines, so you'll be able to taste 3 different cuisines in just one visit! The restaurant is very clean and has wide parking available at the rear of the restaurant. It was really a pleasant experience eating out in this restaurant!

The best malaysian food I had tried. The sup ekor taste was good. Kangkung blacan. But a little bit missing malaysian taste was the tomyam soup. Supposed used thai chili, galanggal and ginger for the authentic taste. Anyways my husband love it so much. Semoga perniagaan anda bertambah maju Yang pending halal

Similar to other "minor" ethnic food restaurants, they've added many dishes to their menu that are more recognizable from better-known cuisines. Specifically, they have plenty of Indian and Thai dishes that drown out the menu. If you are looking for specifically Burmese dishes, you'll have to do your homework which ones, but it's totally worth it. That said, the [national dish] Mohinga fish soup, Lahpet Thoke tea leaf salad, and Biriyani are phenomenal. Staff are awesome too. I genuinely cannot recommend this place more - I am really glad I found this shop.

This is a storefront shop that also sells packaged food, such as noodles and chips. It's rather plain inside, with simple tables and paper serving ware, but very clean. I tried the murtabak (like a fried stuffed pancake) and a noodle dish that was deliciously different, with hints of lemongrass and something spicy. I really like the noodle dish, and will back to try the curries. I also had a wonderful mango lassi, which I recommend. Service was friendly, and he gave me some water while I waited.

We called and came here to try a new cuisine. We were interested in the Burmese cuisine but saw very few options available for a dinner. So we ordered 2 Thai dish. Honestly speaking I had better. It lacked flavor. I gave a 3 start because the portion size was huge compared with pricing and other restaurants. Restaurant is clean. We went to the restroom to wash our hands and the whole walkway was decked with inventory for the kitchen. It did give a weird feeling as if we will knock something down. On our way we saw the kitchen door wide open. Everything seemed to be wiped down and clean. I was confused with who will cook or will they just warm the food up. Their grocery section had different types of spices and condiments. If I lived around I would have tried some. If I am in the area I will of course give this restaurant another try.

First time here and omg… AMAZING! The gentleman is very kind and I asked for his opinion on what to eat. I ordered the Mee Tomyam because I do have a cold and suggested it would make me feel better. It’s absolutely delicious!! It is very filling and I drank the whole broth. Left nothing behind. I’m looking forward to trying more items off the menu and EASILY my new to go.
